Most teams looking for XFunnel alternatives in 2026 are really choosing what replaces it, because XFunnel no longer sells plans of its own. HubSpot agreed to buy it on October 31, 2025, and its technology now lives on as HubSpot AEO, which costs $50 a month and tracks 25 prompts on three engines, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
The 10 tools below, HubSpot AEO included, cover more engines, more prompts or more of the hands-on work XFunnel's Enterprise plan used to bundle in. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we tested these XFunnel alternatives
Peec AI, Profound, Scrunch, Otterly.AI, Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, Writesonic and Rankscale all got the same set of buyer prompts on their trials or entry plans. We held each one up against what XFunnel's Enterprise plan listed and what HubSpot AEO offers today, and noted:
- Which engines and how many prompts the plan you can buy covers
- How often answers refresh, and how long setup takes
- What it does with the findings, and what a month really costs
We haven't used HubSpot AEO, so its details come from HubSpot's product, pricing and help pages and G2 reviews, and XFunnel's come from its own site and HubSpot's announcement. AthenaHQ needed a sales call, so we went by its docs. Review quotes are condensed from G2 and Product Hunt and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Checked November 2026.

1. Orchly: best XFunnel alternative to get cited across more AI engines
Orchly is an autonomous AI search optimization platform. It checks your brand every day in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot as add-ons (it also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek), and its agents run on a schedule across the whole loop.
On their own, they analyze your AI visibility, your competitors, your SEO and your Search Console and GA4 data. They pick what to write and which pages to refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain current, find the sites, people and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach and draft the replies, and audit the site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
XFunnel sold much of this as a managed service on its Enterprise plan. HubSpot AEO gives you a tracker plus a to-do list, while Orchly's agents run the work end to end, from $49 a month.
Coverage HubSpot AEO doesn't have
- Google AI Overviews included. ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews are tracked daily on every plan, with Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot as add-ons (Orchly also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek). HubSpot AEO doesn't track Google's AI answers, Claude, Copilot or Grok.
- Prompts by brand and intent. Branded vs non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional.
- Perception and fact check. Attributes, objections, and AI claims checked against your Brand Brain.
- Mention Gap and query fan-outs. Cited sources that skip you, and the background searches behind answers.
Agents that run without being asked
Orchly's agents work on a schedule. They keep Brand Brain, your approved facts, voice and positioning, up to date, and you decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
- Content Agent. Turns lost prompts and decaying Search Console pages into article and refresh tasks, writes them in your brand voice, and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost, directly or after your approval.
- Activation Agent. XFunnel's Enterprise plan listed managed Reddit and affiliate work as a service. Orchly's agent finds the backlink sites, people, Reddit threads and YouTube videos AI cites, drafts the outreach and Reddit replies, and sends from your Gmail, Zoho or SMTP inbox once you sign off.
- Site Health Agent. Audits your site for technical SEO and AI search health issues and ranks the fixes.
Search data
- Search Console and GA4. Clicks, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4, next to AI visibility.
Where Orchly falls short
- No HubSpot CRM tie-in. HubSpot AEO suggests prompts from your CRM data and drafts content inside HubSpot.
- Same prompt count at entry. Both start at 25 prompts.
- Add-on engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews are included. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot cost extra.
Orchly pricing
- Essential: $49/month for 25 prompts, 20 articles, 1 site and 1 user
- Pro: $125/month for 100 prompts, 50 articles, 3 sites and 5 users, with AI traffic analytics, custom agents and white-label reports
- There's a 7-day free trial, and yearly billing saves 25%.

2. HubSpot AEO: best for HubSpot customers
HubSpot AEO is the product XFunnel turned into after HubSpot bought it, and at $50 a month for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity it suits teams that already run their marketing in HubSpot. We haven't used it ourselves, so this section is based on HubSpot's product, pricing and help pages and on G2 reviews.
It launched on April 14, 2026 and HubSpot still labels it Beta. You get a visibility score, share of voice, sentiment and citation analysis, and the Citations tab gained content type and brand-mentioned columns in August.
Each recommendation now shows a projected citation lift, a priority and an owner. They cover owned content, social amplification on Reddit, LinkedIn and YouTube, outreach, and a site audit for content and technical issues.
It's a smaller product than XFunnel's Enterprise plan was. That plan also listed Claude, Copilot, Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode, a dedicated analyst and managed Reddit, Wikipedia and affiliate work. HubSpot AEO has three engines and no services, and each extra brand is another $50 instance.
Key features
- Three engines, daily. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, about 2,500 answers a month on 25 prompts.
- CRM-based prompts. Suggestions drawn from your CRM data, in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise.
- Recommendations with citation lift. Owned, social, outreach and site audit fixes, ranked by projected lift.
- Blog drafts. Turn a recommendation into a post for 1,000 HubSpot Credits, in Marketing Hub.
- Claude connector. Claude can read your AEO data since September 2026, on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- No Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude, Copilot or Grok.
- 25 prompts per brand, and HubSpot doesn't publish the price of extra prompts.
- CRM prompts and blog drafts need Marketing Hub, not the $50 plan.
- Still Beta in November 2026.
User reviews
“It turns an idea into a well-structured, search-focused blog post far faster than starting from a blank page.” (Source)
“Some of the AI recommendations feel a bit general and still need human review, and I'd like deeper competitive benchmarking.” (Source)
“I don't really understand how the credits work. I also wonder how it will work once we're out of the beta program.” (Source)
Pricing
- HubSpot AEO: $50/month, or $45/month billed yearly, for 25 prompts on 3 engines
- Marketing Hub Professional: includes 25 prompts
- Marketing Hub Enterprise: includes 50 prompts
- 28-day free trial with no card, and each extra brand is another $50/month.
3. Profound: best enterprise replacement
Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, including a third of the Fortune 100, and it's the closest match for the large brands that bought XFunnel's Enterprise plan.
We tested it on the 7-day trial. Profound chose 50 prompts for our industry and we couldn't change them, and only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews ran. We learned how the product works, but not much about our own market.
Brands now buy through sales. Profound dropped its $99 and $399 self-serve plans in September 2026, the same month it raised a $180M Series D at a $1.8B valuation. The full product covers nine engines, Claude, Copilot and DeepSeek among them, though Exa replaced Grok in September.
AI Marketer covers some of what XFunnel's analysts used to do. Its agents draft and publish content, and since October you can set one up by describing the job in plain words, paid for from credit wallets.
Key features
- Nine engines on Enterprise. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa.
- Prompt Volumes. Demand estimates from more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries, updated weekly.
- AI Marketer. Content agents with a Context Manager that keeps your brand context, added September 2026.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler activity on your site, plus Search Console data in Pages.
- Shopping. How your products appear in ChatGPT shopping answers, on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- No self-serve plan for brands, so every price goes through sales.
- The trial runs preset prompts on three engines.
- No Grok since September 2026.
- Context Manager, MCP, exports and the API are Enterprise only.
User reviews
“It's not a static reporting tool. It's turning into something that shapes real workflow decisions.” (Source)
“It gives us one score we can track over time, which made it easy to get the team on board.” (Source)
“Some features take a while to understand, and certain integrations could be more developed.” (Source)
Pricing
- Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
- Agencies: a separate self-serve Agency Growth plan
- Trial: 7 days free, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews
4. Peec AI: best clean tracker
Peec AI is a Berlin-based AI search analytics platform with unlimited seats on every plan, and it suits former XFunnel users who want a clean, self-serve tracker they can buy without a sales call.
We signed up and had data within a few minutes. Peec read our site and suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors filled in for each engine.
Starter is €85 a month for 50 prompts on any 3 models you choose, and AI Overviews and AI Mode are on that list. XFunnel's Enterprise plan included Claude and Grok, but on Peec those need Enterprise, and so does DeepSeek.
It shipped a lot this year. Actions came in February and AI Shopping in June. In September it added GA4 AI referrals and Brand Perception, which checks what AI says about you against facts you set. Writing and outreach stay with your team.
Key features
- Model choice. Any 3 of ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI, with Perplexity and other extra models from €25 a month.
- Actions. Ranked owned and earned fixes drawn from your citation data.
- Brand Perception. Attribute scores, objections and AI claims checked against your facts.
- AI referrals. Sessions, engagement, conversions and revenue from GA4, per AI assistant.
- MCP and Looker Studio for moving the data into other tools.
Where it falls short
- 3 models per plan unless you pay for more.
- Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are Enterprise only.
- No content writing, outreach or analyst support.
User reviews
“It saved us building our own infrastructure just to see how often our app shows up in AI search.” (Source)
“It shows whether we appear for our target prompts, and who does when we don't.” (Source)
“There's nothing in the app to help GEO beginners get started, so the team pointed me to their YouTube playlist instead.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 models
- Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
- Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts, with multi-country tracking
- Unlimited users on every plan, a free trial, and 15% off with yearly billing.
5. AthenaHQ: best for many engines
AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform that tracks 11 engines on its $295 Starter plan and five on a free plan, so it suits teams that want the wide engine coverage XFunnel's Enterprise plan had, at a published price. AthenaHQ asked us to book a sales call, so this section is based on its docs, release notes and G2 reviews.
Going by the docs, setup is quick. You enter your domain, AthenaHQ builds a brand profile, suggests about 10 competitors and 10 prompts, and the first answers arrive within minutes.
It runs on credits, and one credit buys one AI response. Starter's 3,600 credits sound like plenty, but checked daily across all 11 engines they cover only about 10 prompts.
Personas, the recommendation engine and the new Athena Citation Engine are Enterprise only. That matters if XFunnel's persona-level reports were the part you used most.
Key features
- Free Essentials plan. 300 credits on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot.
- 11 engines on Starter, including AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
- Sources and Brand Traits. Cited domains split into yours, competitors' and third parties', plus the words AI uses about you.
- Shopping Pages. Catalog page templates with a Shopify sync, since August 2026.
- Unlimited seats on every plan.
Where it falls short
- Nothing between the free plan and $295 a month.
- Personas, recommendations, BI exports and SSO are Enterprise only.
- Self-serve plans cover one country.
User reviews
“Three competitor articles on a topic we'd never covered were getting cited all the time in ChatGPT. We wrote two pieces to fill that gap, and three months later our mention rate had doubled.” (Source)
“Now we pull a weekly citation rate report by model and share it on client calls.” (Source)
“It feels like a fast-moving startup, which is a strength and an occasional source of friction.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
- Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
- Enterprise: custom
6. Scrunch: best for technical teams
Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for technical B2B marketing teams that splits answers by persona and topic and shows how AI crawlers read your site. Sitecore has owned it since June 2026.
We used the 7-day trial, and onboarding is guided. Scrunch drafted a brand description from our site, we confirmed it, added competitors, a persona and our topics, and started from five suggested prompts.
Personas are the feature that comes closest to XFunnel's persona-level reports, but Core includes 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language. Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok need an Enterprise contract.
Over the trial we also noticed the refresh cycle. New prompts run daily for 14 days and then every 72 hours.
Key features
- Core engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 5,000 responses a month.
- Persona and topic filters for reading answers by buyer type.
- Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
- Site audits. 5 a month on Core, plus GA4 AI referrals, improved in October 2026.
- Agent Experience Platform (AXP). Serves AI agents a version of your pages built for them, on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language on Core.
- Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are Enterprise only.
- Prompts move to a 72-hour cycle after the first two weeks.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“The API returns the full response text with citation URLs, and AI crawler tracking comes at no extra cost.” (Source)
“Before Scrunch we had a big blind spot, with no way to analyze our clients' visibility and sentiment in LLMs.” (Source)
“Simplifying the dashboards and the Explorer would help. I expect I'll get used to the new UI with time.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $250/month for 125 prompts on 4 engines, 5 user licenses and 5 site audits
- Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, custom prompts, AXP, API and SSO
- 7-day free trial on Core.
7. Otterly.AI: best budget alternative
Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool from Vienna that tracks four engines with unlimited seats from $29 a month, and it suits teams that mostly used XFunnel to keep an eye on their visibility.
Setup took us about 15 minutes. Otterly suggested competitors and prompts from our brand name, we kept most of them, and the first report followed.
We spent most of our time in the Brand Visibility Index. It sorts brands into Leaders, Niche and Low Performance, which is an easy chart to show a manager.
Lite is small, though. 15 prompts is fewer than HubSpot AEO's 25, GEO recommendations stop at 3 a week, and the next plan is $189 for 100 prompts. AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are add-ons, so all 7 engines on Standard come to about $416 a month.
Key features
- Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, checked daily.
- Brand Visibility Index. Sorts brands into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from your server logs, since August 2026.
- ChatGPT shopping cards per prompt. Ads reporting has been paused since September 16, 2026.
- Looker Studio connector, plus API and MCP from Standard.
Where it falls short
- 15 prompts on Lite, and GEO recommendations capped at 3 a week.
- AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
“Setup was easy, it comes up with relevant prompts quickly, and it's now part of our daily routine.” (Source)
“We can see where we're moving the needle, and where we aren't.” (Source)
“I can't follow how each prompt performs over time, though the Claude skill might let us work that out ourselves.” (Source)
Pricing
- Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
- Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
- Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
- Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.
8. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best inside an SEO suite
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit adds AI search tracking to the Semrush SEO suite for $99 a month per domain, and it suits teams that already do their keyword research in Semrush. Adobe has owned Semrush since April 28, 2026.
We set it up on our own domain. AI sits in the left menu, you enter the domain, and you get an AI Visibility Score out of 100.
Prompt Research is the report former XFunnel users will recognize. Like XFunnel's question research, it shows volume and intent for AI questions, here from a database of more than 317 million prompts, so you can choose what to track before you spend your allowance.
The allowance is small, 25 prompts per domain, and every extra user needs a license. The engines also change by report, which confused us at first. Prompt Tracking runs daily on ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini, and Brand Performance updates weekly and adds Perplexity.
Key features
- AI Visibility Score. One number out of 100 for any domain.
- Prompt Research. Volume and intent for AI questions from 317 million+ prompts.
- Brand Performance. Weekly share of voice, sentiment and citations, Perplexity included.
- Prompt Tracking. Your own prompts checked daily.
- MCP and a Claude connector, next to the SEO toolkit you already use.
Where it falls short
- 25 prompts per domain, and each extra domain is another $99.
- Every extra user needs their own license.
- No Claude, Copilot or Grok on the self-serve toolkit.
- It shows the gaps and leaves the writing and outreach to you.
User reviews
Most G2 reviews of Semrush are about the SEO tools. These are about the AI toolkit:
“If your team already uses Semrush for SEO, the AEO features turn that spend into coverage for how people now find and judge brands.” (Source)
“Reports come out fast when I need numbers for a leadership update at short notice.” (Source)
“Locking agencies into $99 a month per brand, with no way to remove one yourself, is a product design problem.” (Source)
Pricing
- AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain, billed yearly, for 25 prompts
- Extra prompts: 50 more for $60/month
- Semrush One: from $199/month, with 50 prompts and the SEO toolkit
- The toolkit has no trial of its own. Semrush One has a 7-day free trial.
9. Writesonic: best for content-led teams
Writesonic is an AI writing and GEO platform that combines AI search tracking with article writing and WordPress publishing, and it suits content-led teams that want the tracking and the drafts in one tool.
Setup took us a few minutes. You pick topics, check the suggested prompts and choose competitors, and citation share against them comes in daily.
The writing is the reason to choose it. Plans include 15, 25 or 50 AI articles a month, and the Action Center re-measures each fix after 14 and 28 days, a lighter version of the experiment tracking XFunnel offered.
The engine list held us back. Self-serve plans track only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, so Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot and AI Mode all need Enterprise.
Key features
- Tracking plus writing. 15, 25 or 50 AI articles a month, published to WordPress.
- Daily tracking with citation share and the pages that get cited.
- Action Center. Fixes re-measured at day 14 and day 28, in full on Enterprise.
- Reddit and Search Console as data sources.
- MCP server and Project Hub, both added in June 2026.
Where it falls short
- Self-serve plans track only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews.
- Starter is billed yearly and has 1 user, and sentiment starts on the $399 Growth plan.
- Drafts still need editing before they go live.
User reviews
“The cited pages report shows the team exactly which URLs earn citations, so we can double down on what works.” (Source)
“The prompts on the trial and the Starter plan are more generous than the other tools I tried.” (Source)
“The content writing is good, but there's no versioning, and any edit gets added to the bottom of the draft.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $79/month billed yearly, for 50 prompts and 1 user
- Basic: $199/month for 100 prompts and 2 users
- Growth: $399/month for 200 prompts, 3 users and sentiment
- You can start free without a card.
10. Rankscale: best for granular control
Rankscale is a credit-based AI rank tracker with 21 engines and models and a schedule you set for each search term, and it suits hands-on SEOs who want to decide exactly which engines run and how often.
We tried it on the 7-day Pro trial. A run on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode costs 0.25 credits, DeepSeek 1 and Claude 2, so we checked our money prompts daily on several engines and put the long tail on a weekly schedule.
Honestly, the dashboards took us a while. There's a lot of detail per search term and a lot of filtering, and client-ready reports are mostly something you build yourself.
Check Perplexity before you buy. Rankscale paused Perplexity interface monitoring on October 12, 2026 while it works around login walls.
Key features
- 21 engines and models, including ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok.
- Flexible schedule. Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly per search term.
- Query fan-out. The searches AI runs while answering, plus ChatGPT's follow-up questions.
- Local Results. AI map listings, now also in the API, MCP and custom dashboards.
- Credit rollover of up to 2x your monthly allowance on Pro and Pro+.
- MCP and Looker Studio, with white-label share links from Growth.
Where it falls short
- Credits go quickly if you track many engines daily.
- Client reporting is mostly manual.
- Essentials is sold yearly only.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
Rankscale has two reviews on G2, both 5 stars, and its longer reviews are on OMR Reviews.
“It shows the citation rate very clearly, and the comparison with competitors is helpful.” (Source)
“It's the best value for money right now, though the UI feels a little overwhelming at first.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: $17/month, billed yearly only, for 120 credits
- Pro: $99/month for 1,200 credits
- Pro+: $229/month for 3,000 credits and REST API access
- Growth: $385/month for 5,500 credits and white-label links
- Pro has a 7-day free trial, and yearly billing saves 15%.
What happened to XFunnel
XFunnel was an Israeli startup that tracked how brands showed up in AI answers and sold hands-on help to fix it. Here's what we could confirm from public sources.
- HubSpot agreed to buy it in October 2025. HubSpot announced the deal on October 31, 2025. XFunnel was about 10 months old, founded by Beeri Amiel and Neri Bluman, and it was HubSpot's first acquisition in Israel, according to Calcalist. Terms weren't disclosed.
- It became HubSpot AEO. HubSpot said XFunnel would be built into its marketing tools, and HubSpot AEO launched on April 14, 2026 at $50 a month. HubSpot's AEO page now lists 2026 as the year it acquired XFunnel, and the product is still labeled Beta in November 2026.
- xfunnel.ai doesn't sell plans anymore. The homepage carries the acquisition note. The old pricing page still lists a free one-time audit and a custom Enterprise plan, but its buttons lead only to a sign-up form for updates.
- Not everything moved across. XFunnel's Enterprise plan listed nine engine options, including Claude, Copilot, Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus a dedicated analyst, weekly strategy meetings and managed content, Reddit, Wikipedia and affiliate work. HubSpot AEO tracks three engines and doesn't list any of those services.
For a closer look at HubSpot's product, see our HubSpot AEO alternatives guide.
