10 Best Otterly AI Alternatives in 2026 (With Real Costs)

Otterly.AI is the cheapest way to start tracking AI search, at $29 a month. The bill climbs fast once you add Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and its 2026 updates added recommendations and brand profiling but still leave the work to you.

These 10 alternatives either cost less for full engine coverage or take more of the work off your hands. Prices checked in November 2026.

Editor's note

How we tested these Otterly AI alternatives

We signed up for Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Rankscale, Profound, Scrunch, Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit and SE Visible. We ran the same buyer prompts through each and compared:

  • Which AI engines and how many prompts come with the plan you can actually buy
  • How fresh the data is, and how long it takes to get a first useful report
  • Whether the tool helps you act on what it finds, and what it costs once the engines you need are added

AthenaHQ needed a sales call, and we haven't run our own trials of LLMrefs or LLM Pulse, so for those three we went by pricing pages, docs, demo videos and what brands we work with told us. Review quotes are condensed from G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and OMR Reviews and link to the original.

Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best Otterly alternative for agentic AI search optimization

Orchly's AI visibility overview

Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It tracks your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, across the whole loop.

They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data. They find the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain up to date, find sites and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.

Otterly gives you a tracker plus a list of recommendations. Orchly's agents run the work end to end.

It also brings in the Google side Otterly doesn't have. Search Console and GA4 sit next to your AI data, so you can see whether visibility turns into traffic and revenue.

What Orchly does after the dashboard

  • Content Agent writes and refreshes for you. It watches your prompts, citations and decaying pages, then creates tasks. Approve one, or let the agent run on its own, and the AI article writer drafts it in your brand voice and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost.

  • Mention Gap shows who to contact. Otterly lists the domains AI cites. Orchly goes a step further and shows which of those sources mention your competitors but not you.

  • Activation Agent does the outreach. It finds those publishers, plus Reddit threads, YouTube videos and new search results mentioning your category, and sends link building and citation outreach from your own Gmail, Zoho Mail or SMTP inbox.

  • Site Health Agent fixes what blocks AI crawlers. Otterly's GEO audit flags page issues. Orchly's Site Health Agent audits every page for technical SEO and AI search problems, ranks them, and helps you fix them.

Data Otterly doesn't give you

  • Organic traffic and revenue. Orchly pulls clicks, impressions, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4. Otterly's Agent Analytics, launched in August 2026, counts AI bot visits, but it can't tell you what those visits were worth.

Page 360 shows every page's organic and AI performance
  • Perception, with competitor standing. Orchly shows the attributes AI links to your brand, where competitors stand on them, and the objections buyers hear. Otterly added a similar Brand Profiling tab in October 2026, so the gap here is smaller than it was.

  • Fact check. Orchly's Brand Brain stores your real pricing, products and positioning. Every AI answer is checked against it, so outdated or wrong claims about you get flagged.

The tracking you're used to, with more context

  • Prompts tagged by brand and intent. Each prompt is marked branded or non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional, so you can see where you lose new buyers rather than people who already know you.

  • Real answers from real interfaces. Prompts run through ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews the way a buyer uses them, from varied locations. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot are optional add-ons.
  • Query fan-outs and AI traffic. See the background searches ChatGPT runs before it answers, and separate AI bot crawls from real visitors on Pro.

Where Orchly falls short

  • Fewer prompts per dollar at the bottom. Otterly Lite gives you 15 prompts for $29. Orchly Essential gives you 25 for $49, so if you only want to check a handful of prompts, Otterly is cheaper.
  • Fewer seats on the entry plan. Otterly includes unlimited seats. Orchly Essential has 1 user, and Pro has 5.
  • Copilot isn't tracked. Otterly includes Microsoft Copilot on every plan.

Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts, 20 articles, 1 site, 1 user). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 50 articles, 3 sites, 5 users, AI traffic analytics, custom agents, white-label reports). 7-day free trial.

2. Peec AI: best for cleaner tracking with unlimited seats

Peec AI dashboard showing brand visibility and position across AI engines

Peec AI is an AI search tracker for marketing teams, and it's the tool people most often name as a direct swap for Otterly. We signed up and ran it next to Otterly on the same prompts.

Setup was the easy part. We added the brand, accepted most of the suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors came in per engine. Sources are split into owned, editorial, reference and UGC, which we found quicker to read than Otterly's domain list.

The real difference is how you buy it. Otterly gives you 15 prompts and four fixed engines for $29. Peec starts at €85 for 50 prompts, and you pick any three engines from ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI. Perplexity costs extra.

Picking only three was the part we didn't like. A fourth engine costs extra, and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek aren't in the base choice at all.

Peec has shipped a lot in 2026, too. Actions came in February, an MCP server in April, shopping tracking in June, ads in July, and Brand Perception plus GA4 AI referrals in September.

Key features

  • Model choice. Pick 3 engines per plan and add more from €25 a month each on Starter, billed yearly.
  • Source analytics. Every cited domain and URL, classified as competitor, editorial, reference or UGC.
  • Actions. A ranked list of pages to fix, threads to join and content gaps to close.
  • Brand Perception. Attribute scoring, objections and fact-checked prompts, added in September 2026.
  • AI Shopping. SKU-level visibility from a Shopify or CSV product feed.
  • MCP and API. An MCP server, a Looker Studio connector from Advanced, and API access on Enterprise.

Where it falls short

  • Every self-serve plan tracks only 3 engines, and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek cost extra.
  • Actions suggest what to do but you still write, publish and pitch it yourself.
  • No Search Console data, so you can't see your Google rankings next to AI answers.

User reviews

“Data started flowing the moment we signed up, with zero setup.” (Source)

“The setup was simple and it found competitors in AI answers we never saw in SEO. I don't trust the Actions recommendations yet to know our business well enough.” (Source)

“The navigation is noisy, with a lot of options we don't use.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 engines
  • Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
  • Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts and 5 projects
  • Unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise adds all models, SSO and API.

3. LLMrefs: best for all engines at one flat price

LLMrefs AI citation tracking dashboard

LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers every major engine on one $79 plan, which makes it the simplest answer to Otterly's add-on pricing. We know it from its docs, its pricing page and brands we work with, not from our own trial.

The setup is different from Otterly's. You don't write prompts. You add the keywords you already track for SEO, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind them and rolls the results up per keyword.

That's quick if you think in keywords. The trade-off is less control over the exact questions being asked, and reports refresh weekly, where Otterly runs your prompts daily.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with no add-on fees.
  • Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with monthly prompt volume estimates.
  • Share of voice. Brands ranked by share of voice and position per keyword.
  • Geo-targeting. 50+ countries and 20+ languages.
  • Agency setup. Unlimited projects and seats, CSV export and an API.

Where it falls short

  • Weekly data, not daily.
  • Prompts are generated from keywords, so you can't fully control them.
  • No content, outreach or fix layer, and the $79 price is labelled limited-time.

User reviews

LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, and its single Product Hunt rating has no written review, so we have no user quotes to share.

Pricing

  • All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and all engines
  • 7-day free trial, unlimited team members and projects.

4. Scrunch: best for technical AEO and bot control

Scrunch AI visibility and AI agent traffic dashboard

Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that care as much about how AI crawlers read their site as about what the answers say. Sitecore bought it in June 2026.

We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided: Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and your topics, and start from five suggested prompts.

New prompts run daily for the first 14 days and every 72 hours after that, which felt slow next to Otterly's daily runs.

The self-serve Core plan is narrower than we expected. It covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, the same four engines Otterly includes, and Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok are only on Enterprise. So is AXP, the CDN layer that serves AI agents a simpler version of each page.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot on Core, 9 engines on Enterprise.
  • Page audits. 5 site audits a month on Core.
  • Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
  • GA4 and MCP. AI referral traffic from GA4, plus an MCP server.
  • AXP. Serves AI agents a machine-readable version of your pages, on Enterprise.

Where it falls short

  • $250 a month for 125 prompts, against Otterly's $189 for 100 prompts on Standard.
  • Claude, Gemini and AI Mode need an Enterprise contract.
  • Core has 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“Of every AI visibility tool we tested, it had the best price and the most actionable data.” (Source)

“Switching from the Semrush AI tool made our client strategy better, and onboarding all our clients took a couple of hours. Connecting the agent traffic tool to clients' CMSs is difficult, though.” (Source)

“There's no chart export, so we screenshot graphs for client reports.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Core: $250/month for 125 prompts, 4 engines and 5 seats
  • Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, AXP, API and SSO
  • There's a 7-day free trial.

5. AthenaHQ: best for many engines plus guided actions

AthenaHQ AI search visibility dashboard

AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform that tracks up to 11 engines on its self-serve plan, more than any other tool here you can buy without a contract. AthenaHQ only offered us access after a sales call, so we went by its documentation, public walkthroughs and G2 reviews.

According to the docs, you only need a domain to start. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests around 10 competitors and drafts 10 prompts, and the first answers come in within minutes.

Billing works on credits, which is the main thing to plan for. One credit is one AI response, so a prompt checked on five engines uses five credits each time it runs.

Thirty prompts a day on several engines can use up the 3,600 Starter credits before the month ends. Self-serve plans also cover one country.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral on Starter.
  • Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on 5 engines.
  • Sources. Each cited domain labelled as yours, a competitor's or a third party's.
  • Brand Traits. The positive and negative words AI uses to describe you.
  • Unlimited seats. On every plan.

Where it falls short

  • Credits run out fast, and there's no plan between free and $295.
  • The recommendation engine, personas and BI exports are Enterprise only.
  • Self-serve plans cover a single country.

User reviews

“The plan covered exactly what the pricing page said it would.” (Source)

“The dashboard is much easier to read than Profound was for us. Nothing in the UI explained citation rate versus mention rate, so I had to ask support.” (Source)

“The outreach generator's draft messages are generic.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
  • Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
  • Enterprise: custom pricing

6. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best if your SEO already runs on Semrush

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit brand performance report

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is Semrush's add-on for tracking brands in AI search, and it makes the most sense for teams whose SEO already runs on Semrush. Otterly is a Semrush technology partner, so plenty of teams have seen both.

We tried it on the 7-day trial. You click AI in the left menu, enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100. Prompt Research was the report we kept going back to, because it works like Keyword Magic for AI questions and shows volume estimates.

What confused us was that the engines change by report. Brand Performance covers ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Perplexity and updates weekly. Prompt Tracking covers only ChatGPT Search, AI Mode and Gemini.

Pricing also adds up quickly. Every extra domain is another $99, and every extra user needs a license.

Key features

  • AI Visibility Score. One score out of 100 for your domain against up to 4 competitors.
  • Prompt Research. A prompt database with volume and intent estimates.
  • Brand Performance. Share of voice, sentiment and the sources shaping how AI describes you.
  • Prompt Tracking. Daily tracking inside Position Tracking.
  • AI site audit. Checks how ready your pages are for AI search.

Where it falls short

  • 25 prompts per domain on the base plan, and 50 more cost $60.
  • Brand data updates weekly, and engines differ between reports.
  • Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are on the Enterprise AIO tier only.
  • It recommends but doesn't do the work.

User reviews

“The AI Visibility score gives our AEO work a clear direction, though API units get used up faster than we expect through the MCP.” (Source)

“Prompt Research works like Keyword Magic for AI questions. But the base plan caps you at 25 prompts for $99 a month per domain.” (Source)

“Each brand you add triggers a new $99 monthly charge, and removing one takes a support ticket.” (Source)

Pricing

  • AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain for 25 prompts
  • Semrush One: from $199/month with 50 prompts
  • Semrush offers a 7-day trial on its SEO and AI plans.

7. SE Visible: best for agencies tracking many brands

SE Ranking AI search visibility report

SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker, priced by project with a shared prompt pool, which suits agencies with several brands. Its site is visible.seranking.com.

We used the 10-day trial. Setup asks for a brand name, up to five topics, and a country and language, then SE Visible finds prompts and tags them by intent and funnel stage. After the first scan it suggests competitors and other names for your brand.

The dashboard opens on visibility, share of voice, average position and net sentiment. We liked that you can read each answer as the engine gave it, and for AI Overviews it shows how much the cited pages overlap with the organic top 20.

Each prompt counts once however many engines it runs on, and the allowance is shared across projects. That's a better deal for agencies than Otterly's per-workspace prompts. The engine list is the weak part: four engines today, and no Claude yet.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews on current plans.
  • Pooled prompts. 200 prompts across 3 projects on Basic, 450 across 5 on Core.
  • Daily refresh. Answers collected through real browser sessions.
  • Answer view. Full answers, cited sources by domain or URL, and AI Overview overlap with organic results.
  • API. On every plan, with CSV and XLSX exports.

Where it falls short

  • Claude is still marked coming soon, and Copilot is only on the roadmap.
  • No PDF export or white-label reports yet.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

SE Visible has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet.

Pricing

  • Basic: $99/month for 200 prompts and 3 projects
  • Core: $189/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
  • Plus: $355/month for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, by demo
  • Yearly billing saves 20%, and there's a 10-day free trial.

8. Rankscale: best for control over cadence and cost

Rankscale is a credit-based AI rank tracker that lets you choose the engines and the refresh schedule for each search term, from hourly to monthly. We tried it on the 7-day Pro trial.

The credit model is why we'd point some Otterly users to it. A run on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode costs 0.25 credits, DeepSeek costs 1 and Claude costs 2.

That meant we could check money prompts daily on six engines and run long-tail prompts weekly on two, which Otterly's fixed daily plans don't allow. Unused credits roll over, up to twice your monthly allowance on Pro.

Honestly, the dashboards took us a while. There's a lot of detail per search term and a lot of filtering, and the reviewers below say the same. Client reporting is mostly something you build yourself.

Key features

  • Engines. 21 engines and models, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok.
  • Flexible schedule. Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly per search term.
  • Query fan-out. The searches AI runs while answering, plus ChatGPT follow-up questions.
  • Ads and shopping. Sponsored placements and shopping cards in ChatGPT, AI Mode and Copilot.
  • AI visits. AI crawler and assistant visits through a read-only Cloudflare connection.
  • MCP and Looker Studio. An MCP server, a Data Studio connector, and white-label share links from Growth.

Where it falls short

  • Credits go quickly if you track many engines daily.
  • Client reporting is mostly manual.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“It shows citation rate and the comparison with competitors very clearly.” (Source)

“The most flexible LLM rank tracking on the market, though the UI feels overwhelming at first.” (Source)

“I get a surprising amount of detail for every query. What I really miss is proper reporting for my clients, so right now it's mostly manual.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Essentials: $17/month, billed yearly only
  • Pro: $99/month for 1,200 credits and 10 brand dashboards
  • Pro+: $229/month for 3,000 credits and REST API access
  • Growth: $385/month for 5,500 credits and white-label links
  • Yearly billing saves 15%, and Pro has a 7-day free trial.

9. LLM Pulse: best budget pick with AI Mode included

LLM Pulse is a European AI visibility tracker that includes Google AI Mode and Gemini on every plan, for about the price of Otterly Lite with more prompts. We know it from its pricing page, docs and user reviews, not from our own trial.

The Starter plan gives you 50 prompts on five engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews. Each prompt runs on all five and counts once.

On Otterly, AI Mode and Gemini would add $18 a month to Lite and $118 to Standard. Claude, Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek are paid add-ons on LLM Pulse, too.

The prices on the page are for weekly tracking. Daily tracking costs more, and the 14-day trial on weekly plans needs a payment method.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews on every plan.
  • Recommendations and GEO Writer. Suggestions and a content drafting tool from Starter.
  • MCP server. On every plan, for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and more.
  • AI Traffic Analytics. AI visits and sentiment from Growth.
  • Shopping and ads. ChatGPT Shopping and paid ads tracking on Scale.
  • Unlimited team members. On every plan.

Where it falls short

  • Prices are for weekly tracking, so daily data costs more.
  • Sentiment starts on Growth, and API access on Scale.
  • Claude and Copilot are add-ons, like on Otterly.

User reviews

“They ship improvements practically every week, and the data visualization is excellent.” (Source)

“The Looker Studio template lets me automate reporting, so I rarely need to log in. It's still hard to link AI visibility to commercial results, though.” (Source)

“I used it to track ChatGPT appearances for my business, a great experience.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Starter: €49/month for 50 prompts and 1 project, weekly tracking
  • Growth: €99/month for 150 prompts and 2 projects
  • Scale: €299/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
  • Annual billing gives 2 months free. The 14-day trial needs a payment method.

10. Profound: best for Fortune 500 brands

Profound answer engine insights dashboard

Profound is the enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, including a third of the Fortune 100, and it's the opposite end of the market from Otterly. In September 2026, right after its $180M Series D, it dropped the $99 and $399 self-serve plans for brands.

We tested it on the 7-day trial, which is fairly locked down. Profound picks 50 prompts for your industry, only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews run, and there's no history, export or API. You get a good feel for the interface but not for your own buyers' questions.

Prompt Volumes is the feature we'd point Otterly users to. It estimates how often people really ask a question, from a panel of more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries.

The rest is a lot of product, and it ships weekly. In October it added agents you set up from a plain-language request, AI Marketer inside Microsoft Teams, and credit wallets for agent work.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa on Enterprise.
  • Prompt Volumes. Real demand estimates from 1.5 billion+ prompts in 35 countries.
  • AI Marketer. Agents that draft and publish content, with a Context Manager that learns your brand.
  • Agent Analytics. AI crawler activity on your site.
  • Enterprise controls. SSO, API, exports, MCP and a Claude connector.

Where it falls short

  • Brands can only buy custom Enterprise contracts now.
  • Agent work runs on credits.
  • There's a lot on the dashboard to learn.

User reviews

“It ships features faster than the better-known competitors.” (Source)

“The weekly summary lets me pull the key numbers fast and share them with the team. I'd like more context on what's driving score changes, not just that they happened.” (Source)

“Report customization is limited when different stakeholders need the data cut differently.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
  • Agencies: a self-serve Agency Growth plan
  • Trial: 7 days, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews

What Otterly really costs with every engine

Otterly's headline prices include ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons, priced by plan. Claude only became available in June 2026, and only as an add-on. As of November 2026, the numbers look like this:

Otterly list prices and add-on prices, otterly.ai/pricing, November 2026. Monthly billing.
PlanBase priceAI ModeGeminiClaudeAll 7 engines
Lite (15 prompts)$29+$9+$9+$29$76
Standard (100 prompts)$189+$59+$59+$109$416
Premium (400 prompts)$489+$149+$149+$439$1,226

At Standard, 100 prompts across all 7 engines cost about $4.16 per prompt, not the $1.89 the headline price suggests.

When to stay with Otterly

Switching isn't always right. Otterly shipped a lot in 2026: sentiment in March, recommendations in April, a public API in May and an MCP server in June, and Agent Analytics in August. In October it added sentiment and position to Brand Reports, timeline annotations, and Brand Profiling, which shows the attributes and objections AI attaches to you. ChatGPT ads reporting has been paused since September 16, 2026, after OpenAI changed how ads display. Otterly is still a good choice if:

  • You only need ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, so add-ons don't apply.
  • You want unlimited seats and fast setup, and you'll handle content and outreach in other tools.
  • You're an agency that needs cheap multi-brand monitoring. Agency Partners on Standard or Premium get 150 or 500 prompts, unlimited workspaces and branded Looker Studio reports.

Which Otterly alternative should you choose?

  • You want agents that run the work end to end, from analysis to outreach: Orchly.
  • You want a cleaner tracker with more prompts: Peec AI.
  • You want every engine for one flat price: LLMrefs.
  • Your SEO team lives in Semrush: the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit.

Whichever tool you pick, give it a few weeks. AI answers move day to day, and the trend matters more than any single reading.
