Promptwatch alternatives start to make sense once its plan limits bite. Every Promptwatch plan now lists all of its models, but the $95 Essential plan caps you at 6,000 responses a month and 1 seat, content writing and crawler logs start at $245, and shopping and Ads Radar at $579.
These 10 Promptwatch alternatives track more engines for less, include more seats, or take more of the work off your hands. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we tested these Promptwatch alternatives
We started with Promptwatch's own 7-day trial, then signed up for Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Scrunch, Profound, Promptmonitor and Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit. Each one got the same buyer prompts, and we compared:
- How many engines, prompts and seats come with the plan you can actually buy
- How often the data refreshes, and how long setup takes
- Whether the tool helps you act on what it finds, and at what price
AthenaHQ wanted a sales call first, and we haven't run our own trials of LLMrefs or ZipTie, so for those three we used pricing pages, docs and what brands we work with told us. Review quotes are condensed from G2, Trustpilot and Product Hunt and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We held it to the same checks and list where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best Promptwatch alternative to get cited more in AI answers
Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It tracks your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, from analysis through to the finished work.
They read your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data, then pick the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice. They keep Brand Brain current, find the sites, people and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
Promptwatch's Content Agent can write and publish on a schedule too. Beyond content, though, Promptwatch is a tracker plus a to-do list, while Orchly's agents run outreach, Reddit replies and site fixes end to end.
Execution beyond content
- Content Agent. Turns gaps into new articles and refreshes, drafted in your voice and published to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost, directly or after your approval.
- Activation Agent. Promptwatch reports Reddit and YouTube citations. Orchly finds those threads, videos and publishers, then runs outreach from your own inbox.
- Site Health Agent. Audits every page for technical and AI search issues and ranks the fixes.
- Custom agents. Build agents from a chat prompt, like "alert me in Slack when AI visibility drops 10%." Pro and above.
Shopping and ads
- ChatGPT shopping. Your products in ChatGPT shopping answers, their position and the price AI quotes against your catalog. On Promptwatch, shopping starts on the $579 Business plan.
- ChatGPT ads. The advertisers appearing on your prompts, so you know when competitors are paying for placements.
Deeper analysis
- Perception and fact check. Attributes, objections, and AI claims checked against your Brand Brain.
- Mention Gap and prompts by intent. Cited sources that skip you, and prompts tagged branded or non-branded and by intent.
- Search Console, GA4 and Page 360. Organic clicks, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4, per page and next to AI data.
Orchly vs Promptwatch at a glance
| Orchly | Promptwatch | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $49/month, 25 prompts | $95/month, 50 prompts, 6,000 responses |
| Seats on entry plan | 1 (5 on Pro) | 1 (2 on Professional) |
| Engines | 3 included, Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok, Copilot as add-ons; also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek | All listed models, within the monthly response cap |
| Content creation | Content Agent, publishes to your CMS | Content Agent, content writing from Professional ($245) |
| Agents that run on a schedule | Yes: content, outreach, Reddit, site health | Content Agent |
| Citation outreach | Mention Gap plus Activation Agent | No |
| Technical fixes | Site Health Agent | No |
| ChatGPT shopping and ads | Yes | Business plan ($579) |
| Perception and fact check | Yes | Sentiment heatmaps |
| AI crawler logs | Pro | Professional ($245) and up |
Where Orchly falls short
- Crawler logs. Promptwatch connects to more CDNs and hosts for AI crawler logs, from its Professional plan. Orchly's AI traffic analytics start on Pro.
- Model list. Promptwatch lists every model it supports on every plan, including Copilot, Mistral and Claude Code. Orchly includes 3 engines and sells 5 as add-ons.
- Fewer prompts at entry. Promptwatch Essential tracks 50 prompts. Orchly Essential tracks 25.
Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 5 users, AI traffic, custom agents). 7-day free trial.
See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.
2. Peec AI: best for more seats and daily tracking
Peec AI is an AI search visibility tracker with unlimited seats on every plan, which makes it the easiest switch for teams that outgrow Promptwatch's single Essential seat. We ran it on the same prompts we used in Promptwatch.
Setup took a few minutes. Peec read our site, suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors came in per engine.
Next to Promptwatch it felt calmer. There are fewer screens, and the sources view splits citations into owned, editorial, reference and UGC, so it was quicker to see where to pitch.
What we missed was breadth. You pick 3 engines per plan, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek aren't in the base choice, and there's no content writing or Search Console data.
Key features
- Unlimited seats. On every plan, including the €85 Starter.
- Model choice. Any 3 of ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI, with Perplexity and other extra models from €25 a month.
- Source analytics. Cited domains and URLs grouped into owned, editorial, reference and UGC.
- Actions. A scored list of pages to fix, threads to join and gaps to close, added in February 2026.
- Brand Perception. Attributes and objections, plus GA4 AI referral tracking, added in September 2026.
- MCP server. Your visibility data inside Claude and other AI tools.
Where it falls short
- 3 engines per plan, where Promptwatch lists every model it supports.
- Actions tell you what to do, but you still write and publish it yourself.
- No Search Console data next to AI answers.
User reviews
“For the price, it makes LLM performance really easy to understand, and the API and Looker connection are solid.” (Source)
“There's a subscription wall between AI models, with only a few per tier.” (Source)
“The dashboard is easy to read, and the prompts it suggested at signup fit our business. It's hard to tie the changes we made to better AI results, though.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 engines
- Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
- Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts and 5 projects
- Unlimited seats on every plan. Yearly billing saves 15%, and Enterprise adds all models, SSO and API access.
3. Otterly.AI: best budget alternative
Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool that starts at $29 a month with unlimited seats, less than a third of Promptwatch's Essential price.
Our first report was ready in about 15 minutes. Otterly builds the competitor list and suggests prompts for you, and after that every prompt runs daily.
The Brand Visibility Index was the chart we used most. It sorts every brand into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance, which drops straight into a client deck.
Coming from Promptwatch, you give up content writing and some depth. Lite has 15 prompts, and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude all cost extra.
Key features
- Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan.
- Unlimited seats. On every plan, where Promptwatch Essential has 1.
- Brand Visibility Index. Every brand sorted into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance.
- GEO audits and recommendations. URL audits and page suggestions, capped at 3 recommendations a week on Lite.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from server logs, Cloudflare or a WordPress plugin, added in August 2026.
- API and MCP. From Standard, plus a Looker Studio connector.
Where it falls short
- 15 prompts on Lite, and Standard jumps to $189.
- AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are add-ons, so all 7 engines on Standard come to about $416 a month.
- Crawler visits aren't linked to the prompts that cited you.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“Their support team is top-notch, and they share real research with us.” (Source)
“It's become a key part of how I refine my content strategy. Data updates take longer than I expect when I track several domains at once.” (Source)
“Advanced analytics and customization feel limited for detailed enterprise monitoring.” (Source)
Pricing
- Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
- Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
- Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
- AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons. Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.
4. Scrunch: best for AI crawler control
Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that care how AI crawlers read their site as much as what the answers say. Sitecore bought it in June 2026.
We used the 7-day trial. Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors and a persona, and start from a few suggested prompts.
The self-serve Core plan is $250 a month for 125 prompts on four engines, ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. That's more prompts than Promptwatch Essential, but fewer engines, and Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are Enterprise only.
New prompts run daily for the first 14 days and every 72 hours after that, which felt slow to us.
AXP is the part Promptwatch doesn't have. It sits on your CDN and serves AI agents a simpler version of each page, but it's part of Enterprise and needs someone with CDN access.
Key features
- Five seats on Core. Against 1 on Promptwatch Essential.
- Site audits. 5 a month on Core.
- Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
- GA4 and MCP. AI referral traffic from GA4, plus an MCP server.
- AXP. A machine-readable version of your pages for AI agents, on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- Core tracks 4 engines. Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok need Enterprise.
- 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language on Core.
- Prompts refresh every 72 hours after the first two weeks.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“The control it gives us over how we track our clients' AI visibility is second to none, and the support is the best I've had from a software company.” (Source)
“New features often land in the API before the dashboard. That's good and bad, but at least the data is there.” (Source)
“The recent UI overhaul made it harder to use after all the time I spent learning the old one.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $250/month for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses, 4 engines and 5 seats
- Enterprise: custom pricing, adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok, plus AXP, API access and SSO
- Core comes with a 7-day free trial.
5. AthenaHQ: best for many engines
AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform that tracks 11 engines on its self-serve Starter plan, with unlimited seats. AthenaHQ only offered us access after a sales call, so this section is based on its docs, pricing page and G2 reviews.
According to the docs, a domain is all you need to start. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests around 10 competitors and 10 prompts, and the first answers come in within minutes.
Billing works a lot like Promptwatch's response cap. One credit is one AI response, so a prompt checked on five engines uses five credits each run.
Starter gives 3,600 credits for $295. Promptwatch Essential gives 6,000 responses for $95. Self-serve plans also cover a single country.
Key features
- Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral on Starter.
- Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on 5 engines.
- Sources. Each cited domain labelled as yours, a competitor's or a third party's.
- Brand Traits. The positive and negative words AI uses about you.
- Unlimited seats. On every plan.
Where it falls short
- Credits go quickly, and there's no plan between free and $295.
- Personas, the recommendation engine and BI exports are Enterprise only.
- API access and extra credits are paid add-ons on Starter.
User reviews
“It gave us visibility into AI recommendations without needing a dedicated analyst.” (Source)
“Regional tracking showed our AI visibility in the Southeast was half what it was on the West Coast. Local SEO and map visibility aren't covered, so we still need other tools.” (Source)
“Switching between workspaces for each brand gets tedious.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
- Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
- Enterprise: custom pricing
6. Profound: best enterprise alternative
Profound is the enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, including a third of the Fortune 100, and since September 2026 brands can only buy it on a custom contract. The change came the same month as its $180M Series D.
We tested it on the 7-day trial, which is fairly locked down. Profound picks 50 prompts for your industry, only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews run, and there's no history, export or API.
Prompt Volumes was the feature we liked most. It estimates how often people really ask a question, from a panel of more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries, and it helped us drop prompts nobody asks.
Like Promptwatch, Profound writes content too. Its AI Marketer agents draft and publish pages, and in October you could set them up from a plain-language request, but agent work runs on credits.
Key features
- Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa on Enterprise.
- Prompt Volumes. Demand estimates from 1.5 billion+ prompts in 35 countries.
- AI Marketer. Agents that draft and publish content, with a Context Manager that learns your brand.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler activity on your site.
- Enterprise controls. SSO, API, exports, MCP and a Claude connector.
Where it falls short
- Brands can only buy custom Enterprise contracts now.
- The trial uses preset prompts, so you can't test your own.
- There's a lot on the dashboard to learn before you know what to act on.
User reviews
“We can see our AI visibility, when engines cite us and what people say about us, and the writing feature optimizes articles for AI.” (Source)
Pricing
- Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
- Agencies: a self-serve Agency Growth plan
- Trial: 7 days, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews
7. LLMrefs: best engine coverage per dollar
LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers 11 engines on one $79 plan with unlimited seats, so it gives you more engines per dollar than Promptwatch. We know it from its pricing page, docs and brands we work with, not from our own trial.
You don't write prompts. You add the SEO keywords you already track, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind them and rolls the results up per keyword.
That's quick if your team thinks in keywords. The trade-off is less control over the exact questions, and reports refresh weekly, where Promptwatch runs prompts daily.
Key features
- Engines. ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with no add-on fees.
- Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with search volume estimates.
- Share of voice. Brands ranked by share of voice and position per keyword.
- Geo-targeting. 20+ countries and 10+ languages.
- Agency setup. Unlimited projects and seats, CSV export and an API.
Where it falls short
- Weekly data, not daily.
- Prompts come from keywords, so you can't fully control them.
- No content writing, crawler logs or outreach.
User reviews
LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, and its Product Hunt rating has no written review, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and all engines
- 7-day free trial, with unlimited team members and projects. The $79 price is labelled limited-time.
8. Promptmonitor: best cheap multi-engine tracker
Promptmonitor is a low-cost AI visibility tracker that starts at $39 a month and gives you contact details for the publishers AI cites, which makes it useful for citation outreach.
Setup took us about a minute. You enter a domain and the dashboard is there, starting at 0% because there's no history yet.
The Sources report is the part we'd pay for. Every cited URL comes with the model, the count, first and last seen dates, an opportunity score and the publisher's contacts, which saved us a step when we planned outreach.
The rest felt less finished. Some suggestions in the Actions tab still talked about 2024 and SGE, and the changelog has been quiet since March 2026.
Key features
- More models on higher plans. Growth adds Claude and DeepSeek, and Pro adds Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode for all 8.
- Sources report. Cited URLs with model, counts, first and last seen, and an opportunity score.
- Publisher contacts. On every plan, for outreach.
- Location targeting. 200+ locations, down to city level.
- Daily tracking and unlimited seats. From the $79 Growth plan.
Where it falls short
- Starter covers only ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, refreshes twice a week and has 1 seat. Claude, DeepSeek, daily runs and unlimited seats need the $79 Growth plan, and Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode need Pro at $149.
- Content suggestions can be out of date.
- Bot analytics needs middleware on your server, and the API is Enterprise only.
- Growth went up this autumn, from $66 to $79 a month.
User reviews
Promptmonitor has no reviews on G2 or Capterra. Product Hunt has one 5-star review and Trustpilot one 1-star review:
“My marketing team uses it to find more strategic ways to raise our product's visibility.” (Source)
“The project never got past the loading screen, so no prompts were tracked, and I was still charged after I cancelled.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $39/month for 25 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, tracked twice a week, 1 seat
- Growth: $79/month for 5 models (adds Claude and DeepSeek), daily tracking and unlimited seats
- Pro: $149/month for all 8 models, adding Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode
- Yearly billing saves 15%, from $33/month. There's a 7-day trial, and Enterprise adds API access and SSO.
9. ZipTie: best for Google AI answers next to organic results
ZipTie is an AI search tracker that puts AI answers next to your Google and Bing organic results, and its new ziptie.ai platform charges only for the prompts and engines you run. We know it from its pricing page, product docs and methodology, not from our own trial.
There are two products now. The original ziptie.dev still runs for existing users, and ziptie.ai is the new platform, with up to 7 engines depending on your country, including Copilot and Bing AI Overview.
Pricing is built per workspace. You pick the engines, then how many prompts run daily, weekly or monthly, at about a cent per check, and every engine costs the same.
Seats, projects, competitors, exports, white-label client reports and Search Console are never billed. Because you buy prompt slots rather than metered checks, the monthly bill stays fixed.
Key features
- Engines. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, AI Mode, Copilot, Bing AI Overview and Gemini, all at the same price.
- Organic context. AI Overviews and Bing AI Overview checks also capture your top 10 organic positions.
- Pooled prompts. Daily, weekly and monthly prompt slots shared across every project.
- Action Center. A queue of lost mentions, uncited prompts and competitors that passed you.
- Client reports. White-label PDF reports and share links on every plan.
- Add-ons. UGC Impact Analysis for cited Reddit threads and YouTube videos, and Content Generation for briefs and drafts.
Where it falls short
- No Claude tracking.
- Content Generation drafts pieces but never publishes them, and there's no CMS or web analytics connector.
- No AI crawler logs.
- Reports are made on demand, with no scheduled emails.
User reviews
ZipTie has a single review on G2, for the original ziptie.dev, and none yet for ziptie.ai:
“I can track prompts and see our AI rankings on Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity, which helps me show clients how they perform. Sometimes projects don't populate, with no clear reason why.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter preset: from $25.65/month for 30 daily prompts on ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Perplexity
- Professional preset: from $340.20/month
- Enterprise preset: from $1,647/month
- Add-ons: UGC Impact Analysis +80%, Content Generation $20/month per brand context, API and MCP $10/month. Annual billing saves 20%, and the 7-day trial (25 daily prompts on ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot) needs no card.
10. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best inside an SEO suite
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is Semrush's add-on for tracking brands in AI search, and it makes the most sense for teams whose SEO already runs on Semrush.
We tried it on the 7-day trial. You open the AI section, enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100 against up to four competitors.
Prompt Research was the report we kept going back to. It works like Keyword Magic for AI questions and shows volume estimates.
The engines change by report, which confused us. Brand Performance covers ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Perplexity and updates weekly, while Prompt Tracking covers only ChatGPT Search, AI Mode and Gemini.
Key features
- AI Visibility Score. One score out of 100 next to your SEO data.
- Prompt Research. A prompt database with volume and intent estimates.
- Brand Performance. Share of voice, sentiment and the sources shaping how AI describes you.
- Prompt Tracking. Daily tracking inside Position Tracking.
- AI site audit and MCP. Checks pages for AI search readiness, and lets you query Semrush from Claude.
Where it falls short
- 25 prompts per domain on the base plan, and 50 more cost $60.
- Brand data updates weekly, and engines differ between reports.
- Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are on the Enterprise AIO tier only.
- Each extra domain is $99, and each extra user needs a license.
User reviews
“The AI Visibility score tells us where to focus our AEO and GEO work, and through the Semrush MCP we can ask Claude about our data in plain language. The API units run out faster than we expect, so we pace our queries.” (Source)
“Prompt Research works like Keyword Magic for AI questions, but 25 prompts for $99 a month per domain adds up fast.” (Source)
“Each brand I added started a new $99 monthly charge, and removing one took a support ticket.” (Source)
Pricing
- AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain for 25 prompts
- Semrush One: from $199/month with 50 prompts
- Extra prompts cost $60 per 50. Semrush offers a 7-day trial on its SEO and AI plans.
What Promptwatch shipped in 2026
Many Promptwatch alternatives articles still say it lacks Search Console or shopping, or that each plan tracks only 4 models. That's out of date.
- Plans. Every plan now lists all supported models, including Copilot, Mistral, Codex and Claude Code, with a monthly response cap instead (6,000 on Essential, 18,000 on Professional and 42,000 on Business). Content writing, the knowledge base and crawler logs are listed from Professional.
- March: an MCP server, Google Search Console per project, and query fan-out and YouTube citation reports.
- May: Shopping Insights for ChatGPT products, and Unified Actions, a GEO to-do list.
- July: a €6 million seed round, Ads Radar, and the Content Agent, which plans, writes and publishes on a schedule.
- August: a WordPress plugin, a ChatGPT plugin and Bing Webmaster Tools sync.
- September: custom dashboards, competitor sentiment heatmaps and an audit log.
- October: Codex and Claude Code tracking, scheduled PDF reports, a weekly site audit email, and a Content Agent that can write about any topic, not only tracked prompts.
We used Promptwatch on its trial before writing this. Setup is quick. You enter your URL, pick 5 prompts, and it collects answers from the chatbot interfaces people actually use.
The 6,000 responses on Essential are enough for 50 prompts on 4 models a day, so tracking every model daily means moving up a plan. The dashboards are dense, and it took us a while to settle on the views we actually used.
When to stay with Promptwatch
- You want AI crawler logs, content writing and tracking in one tool, and Professional fits your budget.
- You need to know whether coding agents like Codex and Claude Code recommend your product.
- You're on Business and use Shopping Insights and Ads Radar together.
Which Promptwatch alternative should you choose?
- You want agents that run the work end to end, from content to outreach and site fixes: Orchly.
- You want more seats for less: Peec AI or Otterly.AI.
- You want more engines per dollar: LLMrefs or AthenaHQ.
- You want AI answers next to your organic rankings: ZipTie.
- You're a large enterprise that wants a sales-led contract: Profound.
