Semrush AI Toolkit alternatives are worth a look once 25 tracked prompts per domain starts to feel thin. The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is still the easy choice if your team already lives in Semrush, which Adobe has owned since April 2026. But it costs $99 a month per domain, every extra user needs its own $99 license, there's no free trial for the toolkit on its own, and it measures and recommends without doing the work.
These 10 Semrush AI Toolkit alternatives track more prompts for the money, cover more engines, or have agents do the work. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we tested these Semrush AI Toolkit alternatives
We set up Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit on our own domain, then signed up for Peec AI, Profound, SE Visible, Otterly.AI, Scrunch and Writesonic and ran the same buyer prompts through each. For every tool we looked at:
- How many prompts and which engines you get for the money, and what extra users or domains cost
- How fresh the data is and how long setup takes
- Whether it helps you act on what it finds, beyond a list of recommendations
Ahrefs has no Brand Radar trial and AthenaHQ needed a sales call, so for those two and for LLMrefs we went by pricing pages, docs, demo videos and what brands we work with told us. Review quotes are condensed from G2 and Product Hunt and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best Semrush AI Toolkit alternative for SEO and agentic AI search optimization
Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It tracks your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, across the whole loop.
They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data. They find the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
Semrush's toolkit gives you a score, reports and a list of recommendations. Orchly's agents run the work end to end, from $49 a month with 25 prompts, or $125 for 100. It also covers the SEO data teams usually open Semrush for.
The SEO side you'd miss from Semrush
- Search Console and GA4. Clicks, impressions, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4, with topic clusters and branded vs non-branded splits.
- Rank tracking and indexing. A Google rank tracker by country and device, plus an indexing report for pages Google skipped.
- Page 360. Each URL's Search Console, GA4 and AI visibility data on one screen.
Deeper AI answer analysis
- Real answers from real interfaces. Prompts run through ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews the way buyers see them, from different locations. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot are add-ons.
- Prompts by brand and intent. Branded vs non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional.
- Mention Gap. Semrush shows prompts where competitors are cited and you aren't. Orchly goes to the source level: the cited pages that name competitors but not you.
- Perception and fact check. Attributes, objections, and AI claims checked against your Brand Brain.
- Query fan-outs and AI shopping. The background searches behind each answer, and your products in ChatGPT shopping.
Agents that do the fixing
- Content, Activation and Site Health agents. New articles and refreshes published to your CMS, outreach to the sources AI cites, and technical fixes, directly or after your approval.
Orchly vs Semrush AI Toolkit at a glance
| Orchly | Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $49/month | $99/month per domain, billed yearly |
| Tracked prompts | 25, or 100 on Pro | 25, +50 for $60/month |
| Extra users | 5 users on Pro | $99 license per extra user |
| Free trial | 7 days | None for the toolkit; 7 days on Semrush One |
| Search Console and GA4 | Yes, with revenue | Via the Semrush suite |
| Keyword and backlink database | No | Yes, large |
| Prompt volume estimates | No | Yes |
| Source-level citation gaps | Mention Gap | Prompt-level competitor gaps |
| Fact check against your brand data | Yes | No |
| Agents that run on a schedule | Yes: content, outreach, Reddit, site health | No |
| Writes, publishes and does outreach | Yes, approval optional | No |
Where Orchly falls short
- No keyword research database. Semrush's keyword and backlink databases are far larger. Orchly suggests prompts from your market and site instead.
- No prompt volume estimates. Semrush estimates how often prompts are asked.
- Engine add-ons. Gemini and AI Mode are included in Semrush's toolkit but cost extra on Orchly.
Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts, 1 site). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 3 sites, 5 users). 7-day free trial.

2. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for Ahrefs-style market research
Ahrefs Brand Radar is the AI visibility index inside Ahrefs, built for researching how any brand or category shows up in AI answers without writing prompts first. Ahrefs doesn't offer a trial, so this section is based on its documentation, pricing page and what users and brands we work with report.
It answers a different question from Semrush's toolkit. Semrush tracks your own 25 prompts and adds a weekly Brand Performance report. Brand Radar checks brands against an index of roughly 500 million prompts that Ahrefs models from real searches in its keyword database, so you see a whole market as soon as you type in a domain.
That makes it strong for research and pitches. Keep in mind the prompts are generated from search data rather than typed by your buyers, and the index is re-tested monthly.
You can now buy it on its own, with an Ahrefs Free account attached, so you don't need a paid Ahrefs plan to use it.
Key features
- AI Visibility Index. Mentions, citations, AI share of voice and estimated impressions across about 500 million prompts.
- Six platforms. AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot.
- Custom Prompts. Your own questions, checked daily, weekly or monthly per platform, with Claude available here.
- History back to 2025, with no cap on the number of domains you look up.
- AI traffic and bot visits. Which pages AI sends people and crawlers to, through Ahrefs Web Analytics and Bot Analytics.
Where it falls short
- The index prompts are modeled, and they refresh monthly.
- Claude only appears in Custom Prompts, where each Claude update uses 8 checks.
- $199 a month covers one platform, and all six cost $699.
- It reports and benchmarks but doesn't write, publish or run outreach.
User reviews
Few reviews cover Brand Radar specifically rather than Ahrefs as a whole. The one we found on G2 is about its AI Overviews data:
“Finding trending AI Overview queries is easy, but the feature is in beta and the data may be a little inaccurate.” (Source)
Pricing
- AI Visibility Index: $199/month for one platform, or $699/month for all of them, including 2,500 custom prompt checks
- Custom prompts: packages from $50/month for 2,500 checks
- Ahrefs Lite ($129/month), Standard and Advanced include 150, 300 and 600 custom prompt checks a month.
3. Peec AI: best dedicated tracker
Peec AI is an AI search tracker for marketing teams and agencies, and its Starter plan gives you 50 prompts with unlimited seats, twice Semrush's 25 and with no per-user license.
We signed up and ran it on the same prompts we track in Semrush. Setup took a few minutes. We added the brand, accepted most of the suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors filled in per engine.
The thing we kept coming back to was the sources view. It splits cited domains into owned, editorial, reference and UGC, which is easier to act on than Semrush's list of top cited domains.
You lose the SEO side, though. There's no keyword database or Search Console data next to the AI answers, and no prompt volume, so some Peec users still open Semrush for that.
Key features
- Model choice. Pick any 3 of ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI, and add more, Perplexity included, for a fee.
- Daily tracking of the prompts you choose, with unlimited seats on every plan.
- Source analytics. Cited domains and URLs labelled owned, editorial, reference or UGC.
- Actions. Ranked suggestions for pages to fix and threads to join, since February 2026.
- Brand Perception and GA4 AI referrals, both added in September 2026.
- MCP server since April 2026, plus Looker Studio on Advanced.
Where it falls short
- 3 engines per plan, with Claude and Grok as paid upgrades.
- No SEO data or prompt volume estimates.
- Actions suggest the work, and your team still does it.
User reviews
“The analytics give our whole team a shared view of where our GEO work stands, and new features keep arriving.” (Source)
“Tracking visibility over several days is the best part. My only complaint is that I still rely on Semrush for prompt volume research.” (Source)
“The setup was simple and the suggested prompts needed little tweaking. I don't trust the Actions recommendations yet to know my business well enough to say what to write.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 engines
- Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
- Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts
- Unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise adds all models, SSO and API access.
4. Profound: best enterprise alternative
Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, including a third of the Fortune 100, and it suits large teams that have outgrown Semrush's 25 prompts per domain.
We tested it on the 7-day trial. Profound picked 50 prompts for our industry, we couldn't edit them, and only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews ran, with no history or export. So it was hard to compare like for like with our Semrush prompts.
What it does better than Semrush is demand data and depth. Prompt Volumes estimates how often people really ask a question, from more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries, and Enterprise tracks nine engines, including Claude.
Since September 2026, brands can only buy it through sales. In October it added agents you set up from a plain-language request and credit wallets for agent work.
Key features
- Nine engines on Enterprise. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa.
- Prompt Volumes. Demand estimates from 1.5 billion+ prompts in 35 countries, updated weekly.
- AI Marketer. Agents that draft and publish content, with a Context Manager that learns your brand.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler activity on your site.
- Enterprise controls. SSO, API, exports, MCP and a Claude connector.
Where it falls short
- No self-serve plan for brands, so pricing goes through sales.
- The trial runs preset prompts on three engines.
- Agent work draws on credits on top of the contract.
- There's a lot to learn before the dashboards make sense.
User reviews
“Profound ships features faster than its well-known competitors, and the API lets us run agentic workflows. I'd like a more flexible pricing model, so we pay for what brings us value.” (Source)
“Setup was easy with help from the Profound team. Finding where things live in the product can be confusing at first.” (Source)
Pricing
- Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
- Agencies: a separate self-serve Agency Growth plan
- Trial: 7 days free, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews
5. SE Visible: best for agencies
SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker, priced per project with unlimited users, which suits agencies that keep running into Semrush's $99 per domain and per user. Its site is visible.seranking.com.
We used the 10-day trial. Setup asks for a brand name, up to five topics, and a country and language. After the first scan it suggested competitors and other names for our brand, which saved some typing.
The pricing is the reason to switch. Basic gives you 200 prompts across 3 projects for $99, about what Semrush charges for one domain and 25 prompts, and each prompt counts once however many engines it runs on.
We liked reading each answer exactly as the engine gave it. It has no keyword database, though, and Claude is still marked coming soon.
Key features
- Four engines. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews on current plans.
- Pooled prompts. One allowance shared across projects and engines.
- Daily refresh through real browser sessions.
- Raw answers, plus how much AI Overview citations overlap with the organic top 20.
- Unlimited users and an API on every plan, with CSV and XLSX exports.
Where it falls short
- No Claude yet, and Copilot is only on the roadmap.
- No PDF or white-label reports.
- No SEO toolkit inside SE Visible itself.
- Tracks only, with no content or outreach.
User reviews
SE Visible has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- Basic: $99/month for 200 prompts and 3 projects
- Core: $189/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
- Plus: $355/month for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, by demo
- Yearly billing saves 20%, and there's a 10-day free trial.
6. Otterly.AI: best budget alternative
Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool for small teams and agencies, and at $29 a month it costs less than a third of Semrush's toolkit, with unlimited seats.
We've used Otterly ourselves. We added our brand, it suggested competitors and prompts, and the first report was ready in about 15 minutes.
It's simpler than Semrush and more focused. You get coverage, position and sentiment against competitors, a Brand Visibility Index that sorts brands into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance, and a GEO audit for your URLs.
The limits show quickly. Lite has 15 prompts, fewer than Semrush's 25, and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons.
Key features
- Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.
- Daily runs with unlimited seats and workspaces.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from your server logs, added in August 2026.
- GEO audit and recommendations for your pages.
- Looker Studio connector, plus a public API and MCP from Standard.
Where it falls short
- 15 prompts on Lite, and GEO recommendations capped at 3 a week.
- Engine add-ons push all 7 engines on Standard to about $416 a month.
- No keyword or prompt volume data.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
“Seeing the exact response for each prompt is a game changer, because I see what my customers see.” (Source)
“The prompt research tool is great for our agency. The jump to €189 a month for Standard is a stretch for a small agency, and Lite doesn't have enough capacity.” (Source)
“Some sentiment analysis is too sensitive, so neutral mentions show up as negative.” (Source)
Pricing
- Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
- Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
- Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
- Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.
7. AthenaHQ: best for many engines
AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform with a free plan and 11 engines on its self-serve Starter plan, including Claude and Grok, which Semrush's self-serve plans don't list. AthenaHQ routed us to a sales call before access, so this section is based on its documentation, demo videos and G2 reviews.
According to the docs, setup only needs a domain. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests about 10 competitors and drafts 10 prompts, and every metric links to the stored answers behind it.
It runs on credits rather than prompts. One credit is one AI response, so the 3,600 credits on Starter go faster than they sound once you run prompts on many engines, and self-serve plans cover one country.
Key features
- 11 engines on Starter, including AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
- Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on 5 engines.
- Clickable metrics. Share of voice, mention rate and citation rate by model, each linked to the answers.
- Sources and Brand Traits. Cited domains labelled as yours, a competitor's or a third party's, plus the words AI uses about you.
- Unlimited seats on every plan.
Where it falls short
- No plan between free and $295 a month.
- Personas, the recommendation engine, BI exports and SSO are Enterprise only.
- Self-serve plans cover one country.
- No keyword or SEO data.
User reviews
“Mention rate, citation rate and share of voice are all visible without three clicks. Nothing in the UI explained the difference between citation rate and mention rate, so I had to ask support.” (Source)
“It showed us exactly where to focus our GEO work. There's a lot going on in the platform, which can feel overwhelming.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
- Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
- Enterprise: custom
8. Scrunch: best for technical teams
Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that care about how AI crawlers read their site as much as what the answers say. Sitecore has owned it since June 2026.
We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided. Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and your topics, and start from five suggested prompts.
Next to Semrush, you get five times the prompts, 125 on Core, plus AI crawler traffic, which Semrush's toolkit doesn't show. Semrush's AI site audit checks whether crawlers are blocked, not when they visit.
The price is the hurdle. Core is $250 a month for four engines, and new prompts run daily for 14 days and then every 72 hours. Claude, Gemini, AI Mode and Agent Pages need an Enterprise contract.
Key features
- Core engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month.
- Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
- Site audits. 5 a month on Core.
- GA4 AI referrals, enhanced in October 2026, plus an MCP server.
- Agent Pages (AXP). Serves AI agents an optimized version of your pages, on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- $250 a month for 4 engines on Core.
- Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are Enterprise only.
- Core covers 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
“I tested many GEO tools, and Scrunch had the most intuitive interface while still letting me dig into the details. Removing old tags from prompts is harder than it should be.” (Source)
“GA4 integration for AI referral traffic is better than anything else we evaluated. Terms shifted several times during the contract negotiation, so get everything in writing.” (Source)
“It's easier to use than Profound, and the API exports raw data.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $250/month for 125 prompts on 4 engines, 5 seats and 5 site audits
- Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, custom prompts, AXP, API and SSO
- 7-day free trial on Core.
9. LLMrefs: best flat-price tracker
LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers every major engine on one $79 plan, which suits SEO teams who think in keywords and want more engines than Semrush lists. We know it from its pricing page, docs and brands we work with, not from our own trial.
Setup will feel familiar to Semrush users. You add the keywords you already track, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind each one and rolls the results up per keyword, with search volume next to it.
The trade-off is less control over the exact questions, and data that updates weekly, where Semrush's Prompt Tracking runs daily.
Key features
- Engines. ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with no add-on fees.
- Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with search volume per keyword.
- Share of voice. Brands ranked by share of voice and position for each keyword.
- Geo-targeting. 50+ countries and 20+ languages.
- Agency setup. Unlimited projects and team members, CSV export and an API.
Where it falls short
- Weekly data, with no daily option.
- Prompts come from keywords, so you can't fully control them.
- No content, outreach or fix layer, and the $79 price is labelled limited-time.
User reviews
LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, and its single Product Hunt rating has no written review, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and all engines
- 7-day free trial, with unlimited team members and projects.
10. Writesonic: best for content creation
Writesonic is an AI writing and GEO platform that combines AI search tracking with article writing and WordPress publishing, for content teams that want the pages written as well as measured.
Setup took us a few minutes. You pick topics, check the suggested prompts and choose competitors, and citation share against competitors comes in daily.
The writing is where it differs from Semrush's toolkit, which ends at recommendations. Plans include 15 to 50 AI-written articles a month, and the Action Center re-measures each fix after 14 and 28 days.
The engine list held us back. Every self-serve plan, even Growth at $399, tracks only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, so Perplexity and AI Mode, which Semrush covers, need Enterprise.
Key features
- Tracking plus writing. 15, 25 or 50 AI articles a month, published to WordPress.
- Daily tracking with citation share and cited pages.
- AI Traffic Analytics. Human visitors and AI bot traffic side by side.
- Reddit and Search Console as data sources.
- MCP server, added in June 2026 with Project Hub.
Where it falls short
- Self-serve plans track only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews.
- Sentiment starts on Growth at $399.
- The full Action Center is Enterprise only.
- Drafts still need editing before they go live.
User reviews
“The citation share view showed our percentage against competitors right away, and setup had no long configuration phase. I'd like monthly billing instead of annual.” (Source)
“I get structured drafts in minutes. The credits run out faster than I expect, and some of the best features are on higher plans.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $79/month billed yearly, for 50 prompts and 1 user
- Basic: $199/month for 100 prompts and 2 users
- Growth: $399/month for 200 prompts, 3 users and sentiment
- You can start free without a card.
What changed at Semrush in 2026
- April: Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush on April 28. The company now calls itself "Semrush, an Adobe company", and the AI Visibility Toolkit and Semrush One keep the Semrush name.
- May: The AI prompt database expanded to 32 countries and 261 million prompts. Semrush's documentation now cites more than 317 million prompts.
- June: Adobe launched Adobe Brand Visibility on June 17, an enterprise product that combines Semrush's AI visibility data with Adobe's agentic content optimization. It's separate from the self-serve toolkit.
- June and October: Semrush published its 2026 AI Visibility Index on 126 million US prompts, then its first UK benchmark.
- August: Semrush released an official connector for Claude on August 26, alongside its MCP.
- Pricing in November 2026: The AI Visibility Toolkit is $99/month per domain for 25 prompts. Semrush One, which bundles SEO and AI, is $199/month for 50 prompts on Starter and $299 for 100 on Pro+, with Advanced on custom pricing. The toolkit has no free trial of its own, while Semrush One has a 7-day trial.
When to stay with Semrush
We used the AI Visibility Toolkit ourselves. You click AI in the left menu, enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100, which is easy to explain to a manager. Prompt Research was the report we went back to most, because it works like Keyword Magic for AI questions.
What confused us was that the engines change by report. Brand Performance covers ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity and updates weekly, while Prompt Tracking runs daily on ChatGPT Search, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini.
Stay with Semrush if:
- Your SEO work already runs in Semrush, and you want AI data without another login.
- You need prompt and topic volume estimates from a large database.
- You track one domain, and 25 prompts is enough for a directional view.
User reviews
“The AI Visibility score gives us a clear direction for our AEO and GEO work instead of guesswork, and the MCP works with Claude.” (Source)
“Prompt Research and Brand Performance are useful next to our SEO reports, but the base plan caps you at 25 prompts per domain, and updates are mostly weekly.” (Source)
“Each brand we added to Brand Performance started a $99 monthly charge we couldn't remove ourselves.” (Source)
