10 Best Ahrefs Brand Radar Alternatives in 2026

Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives make sense once you want daily data on your own buyers' questions instead of a monthly index. Ahrefs Brand Radar is great for looking up any brand's AI visibility across 496 million+ prompts with no setup. But those prompts are modeled from Ahrefs' keyword data, the chatbot index is re-tested monthly, $199 a month covers one AI platform, and your own prompts are billed in checks on top.

These 10 Brand Radar alternatives track your real prompts daily, cost less for wide engine coverage, or have agents act on what they find. Prices checked in November 2026.

Editor's note

How we compared these Brand Radar alternatives

We signed up for Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, Peec AI, Profound, Otterly.AI, Scrunch and SE Visible, ran the same buyer prompts through each, and checked:

  • Whose prompts it measures, which engines you get and how fresh the data is
  • How long setup takes and what extra prompts, users or engines cost
  • Whether it helps you act on what it finds

Ahrefs has no Brand Radar trial, so we didn't test it ourselves and went by its pricing page, help center and demo videos. AthenaHQ needed a sales call, and for LLMrefs and Similarweb we also relied on docs and what brands we work with told us. Review quotes are condensed from G2 and Product Hunt and link to the original.

Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best agentic Brand Radar alternative to grow your share of AI answers

Orchly AI visibility overview showing AI Visibility Score, Share of Voice, sentiment, average position and a competitor leaderboard
Orchly's AI visibility overview

Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It runs your own prompts every day in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, across the whole loop.

They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data. They find the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites, people and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.

Brand Radar gives you a market-wide index and reports to read. Orchly's agents run the work end to end, from $49 a month with 25 prompts, or $125 for 100.

Your buyers' questions, answered live

  • Real prompts, real interfaces. You choose the prompts, or pick from Orchly's prompt research, and they run daily through the engines' own interfaces from different locations. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot are add-ons.

  • Stable history. Your data comes from your own daily runs, so past numbers don't shift when an index is rebuilt. G2 reviewers of Ahrefs have flagged metrics changing after index updates.

Beyond mentions

Where Orchly falls short

  • No market-wide index. You can't look up any brand across millions of prompts without setting them up first.
  • No backlink database. Ahrefs' link data is unmatched.
  • Engine add-ons. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot cost extra on Essential and Pro.

Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 5 users). 7-day free trial.

2. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best like-for-like suite swap

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit report

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is the closest suite-for-suite swap for Brand Radar, with AI visibility tracking, prompt research and SEO data in one place for $99 a month per domain. Adobe has owned Semrush since April 2026.

We set it up on our own domain. The big difference from Brand Radar is that your own prompts are part of the price from day one, and Prompt Tracking checks them daily instead of waiting on a monthly index refresh.

Prompt Research was the report we opened most. It works like Keyword Magic for AI questions, so you still get some of the market-wide view Brand Radar is known for.

What confused us is that the engines change by report. Brand Performance updates weekly and covers Perplexity, while Prompt Tracking runs daily on ChatGPT Search, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini.

Key features

  • Prompt Tracking. Your own prompts, checked daily in 220+ countries and territories.
  • Prompt Research. Volume and intent for AI questions from a database of more than 317 million prompts.
  • Brand Performance. Weekly share of voice, sentiment and narratives across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity.
  • AI Visibility Score out of 100, plus an AI search site audit.
  • MCP and a Claude connector, so you can query the data from Claude.

Where it falls short

  • 25 prompts per domain, and each extra domain costs another $99.
  • Every extra user needs its own license.
  • Claude, Copilot and Grok aren't listed on self-serve plans.
  • It recommends fixes, and your team still does the work.

User reviews

Most Semrush reviews are about the SEO suite. These three are about the AI toolkit:

“The AI Visibility score keeps our AEO and GEO work in order, and the breakdown shows what changed and why.” (Source)

“Prompt Research is great, but the base plan stops at 25 prompts per domain for $99 a month, which adds up fast for an agency.” (Source)

“We couldn't remove a brand we'd added, and it kept costing us $99 a month.” (Source)

Pricing

  • AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain, billed yearly, for 25 prompts
  • Extra prompts: 50 more for $60/month
  • Semrush One: from $199/month with 50 prompts, bundled with the SEO toolkit
  • The toolkit has no trial of its own. Semrush One has a 7-day free trial.

3. Peec AI: best dedicated prompt tracker

Peec AI dashboard

Peec AI is a dedicated AI search tracker for marketing teams and agencies that checks your own prompts every day, with 50 prompts and unlimited seats on its entry plan.

We signed up and added the prompts we care about. Setup took a few minutes, and results came in broken down by engine, with visibility, position and sentiment next to each competitor.

That's the main reason to pick it over Brand Radar. You see answers to the questions you chose, refreshed daily, so the history doesn't move when an index gets rebuilt.

We liked the sources view most. It labels cited domains as owned, editorial, reference or UGC, which made it easier to decide where to pitch. You don't get any market-wide lookups, though, and each plan only covers 3 engines.

Key features

  • Pick 3 engines from ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI, and pay to add more, Perplexity included.
  • Daily tracking of your prompts, with unlimited seats on every plan.
  • Source analytics. Cited domains and URLs sorted by type.
  • Actions. Ranked suggestions for pages to fix and threads to join, since February 2026.
  • Brand Perception and GA4 AI referrals, added in September 2026.
  • MCP server since April 2026.

Where it falls short

  • 3 engines per plan, with Claude and Grok as paid upgrades.
  • No prompt volume or market-wide index.
  • Actions suggest the work, and you still do it.

User reviews

“Data started flowing the moment we signed up, and the MCP puts our visibility data where my other tools can reach it.” (Source)

“It was the simplest to use and the best priced platform we looked at. It's missing a page-level AEO readiness check, which other tools have.” (Source)

“There's a subscription wall between the AI models.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 engines
  • Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
  • Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts
  • Unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise adds all models, SSO and API access.

4. Profound: best for real prompt volume

Profound answer engine insights dashboard

Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, and its Prompt Volumes data is the closest thing to Brand Radar's market view that comes from real user prompts instead of keyword data.

We tested it on the 7-day trial. Profound picked 50 prompts for our industry, we couldn't edit them, and only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews ran. It was enough to see how the dashboards work, not to judge it on our own prompts.

Prompt Volumes is the part Brand Radar users will care about. It estimates how often people really ask a question, from more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries, updated weekly.

Since September 2026 brands can only buy Profound through sales. Its AI Marketer agents can draft and publish content, and in October Profound added agents you set up from a plain-language request.

Key features

  • Nine engines on Enterprise. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa.
  • Prompt Volumes. Demand estimates from 1.5 billion+ prompts, 35 countries.
  • AI Marketer. Content agents with a Context Manager that learns your brand.
  • Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits on your site.
  • Enterprise controls. SSO, API, exports and MCP.

Where it falls short

  • No self-serve plan for brands.
  • The trial runs preset prompts on three engines.
  • Agent work draws on credits on top of the contract.
  • It takes a while to learn where everything lives.

User reviews

“How our brand showed up in ChatGPT used to be a black box, and now we can see it. It's not a cheap tool, but it's worth it if you're betting on AI search.” (Source)

“Topical tracking with daily LLM updates is the standout. It only covers a select number of LLMs, and I'd like clearer differences by model and country.” (Source)

“The agents help when you don't know what to do after reading the data.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
  • Agencies: a separate self-serve Agency Growth plan
  • Trial: 7 days, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews

5. Otterly.AI: best budget alternative

Otterly.AI dashboard

Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool for small teams and agencies, tracking your own prompts daily on 4 engines from $29 a month.

We used it ourselves. We added our brand, accepted the suggested competitors and prompts, and the first report was ready in about 15 minutes.

Against Brand Radar it wins on price for daily tracking of your own questions. For less than one Brand Radar platform you get ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, unlimited seats, and a GEO audit for your pages.

The cheap plan is small, though. Lite has 15 prompts, and AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons on every plan.

Key features

  • Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.
  • Brand Visibility Index. Sorts brands into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance.
  • Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from your server logs, since August 2026.
  • GEO audit and recommendations for your URLs.
  • Looker Studio connector, plus API and MCP from Standard.

Where it falls short

  • 15 prompts on Lite, and GEO recommendations capped at 3 a week.
  • All 7 engines on Standard cost about $416 a month.
  • No market-wide index or prompt volume.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“The dashboards are easy, and the next steps for our GEO strategy are clear.” (Source)

“The recommendations give us real pointers and the price is good value. Our industry is niche, so the amount of data can be limited.” (Source)

“Some sentiment readings are too sensitive, and neutral mentions come out slightly negative.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
  • Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
  • Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
  • Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.

6. Scrunch: best for AI crawler data

Scrunch AI visibility dashboard

Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that want AI crawler data next to their prompt tracking. Sitecore has owned it since June 2026.

We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided. Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and topics, and start from suggested prompts.

Next to Brand Radar, you get your own 125 prompts and Agent Traffic, which shows when AI crawlers visit which pages once you connect your CDN or host. Brand Radar's bot visits need Ahrefs Bot Analytics.

The entry plan is thinner than it used to be. Core is $250 a month for 4 engines, and new prompts run daily for 14 days and then every 72 hours. Claude, Gemini and AI Mode need an Enterprise contract.

Key features

  • Core engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 5,000 responses a month.
  • Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, from your CDN or host.
  • Site audits. 5 a month on Core.
  • GA4 AI referrals, enhanced in October 2026, plus an MCP server.
  • Agent Pages (AXP). Serves AI agents a version of your pages built for them, on Enterprise.

Where it falls short

  • $250 a month for 4 engines.
  • Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are Enterprise only.
  • Core covers 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“I've tested at least 10 AI search trackers, and Scrunch is the best of them and very easy to use.” (Source)

“Agent Traffic shows which pages bots crawl most and why. The GA4 integration keeps disconnecting, so I have to re-enable it often.” (Source)

“Auditing a client before we start is valuable, but we can't export the charts, so we screenshot them for reports.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Core: $250/month for 125 prompts on 4 engines, 5 seats and 5 site audits
  • Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, custom prompts, AXP, API and SSO
  • 7-day free trial on Core.

7. SE Visible: best for agencies

SE Ranking AI search visibility report

SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker for agencies, priced by prompts and projects with unlimited users. Its site is visible.seranking.com.

We used the 10-day trial. Setup asks for a brand name, up to five topics, a country and a language. After the first scan it suggested competitors and other names for our brand.

Compared with Brand Radar, the appeal is price per brand. Basic gives you 200 of your own prompts across 3 projects for $99, refreshed daily, and each prompt counts once however many engines it runs on.

We liked reading every answer exactly as the engine gave it. There's no index to explore, though, and Claude is still marked coming soon.

Key features

  • Four engines. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews on current plans.
  • Pooled prompts. One allowance shared across projects and engines.
  • Daily refresh through real browser sessions.
  • Raw answers, plus how AI Overview citations overlap with the organic top 20.
  • Unlimited users and an API on every plan.

Where it falls short

  • No Claude yet, and Copilot is only on the roadmap.
  • CSV and XLSX exports only, with no PDF or white-label reports.
  • No market-wide lookups.
  • Tracks only, with no content or outreach.

User reviews

SE Visible has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, so we have no user quotes to share.

Pricing

  • Basic: $99/month for 200 prompts and 3 projects
  • Core: $189/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
  • Plus: $355/month for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, by demo
  • Yearly billing saves 20%, and there's a 10-day free trial.

8. AthenaHQ: best for wide engine coverage

AthenaHQ AI search visibility dashboard

AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform with a free plan and 11 engines on its Starter plan, including Claude and Grok. AthenaHQ sent us to a sales call before access, so this section is based on its documentation, demo videos and G2 reviews.

According to the docs, you start with a domain. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests about 10 competitors and drafts 10 prompts, and each metric links to the stored answers behind it.

It runs on credits. One credit is one AI response, so the 3,600 credits on Starter go faster than they sound when you run each prompt on many engines. Self-serve plans cover one country.

Key features

  • 11 engines on Starter, including AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
  • Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on 5 engines.
  • Clickable metrics. Share of voice, mention rate and citation rate by model, each linked to the answers.
  • Sources and Brand Traits. Cited domains split into yours, competitors' and third parties', plus the words AI uses about you.
  • Unlimited seats on every plan.

Where it falls short

  • Nothing between the free plan and $295 a month.
  • Personas, the recommendation engine, BI exports and SSO are Enterprise only.
  • Self-serve plans cover one country.
  • No market-wide index or SEO data.

User reviews

“It tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude with no add-on fee. The prompt library took a few days to build, because there are no industry templates.” (Source)

“It shows which competitor articles get cited instead of ours, and that's the part we can act on.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
  • Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
  • Enterprise: custom

9. LLMrefs: best flat price

LLMrefs AI citation tracking dashboard

LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers 11 engines on one $79 plan, which suits SEO teams who like Brand Radar's keyword roots but want every engine for less. We know it from its pricing page, docs and brands we work with, not from our own trial.

It works a lot like Brand Radar in reverse. You add the keywords you already track, LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind each one, and results roll up per keyword with search volume next to them.

The trade-offs are less control over the exact questions and weekly data.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek.
  • Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with search volume.
  • Share of voice and position for each brand, per keyword.
  • Sources. Every URL the engines cite, filterable.
  • Agency setup. Unlimited projects and team members, plus CSV export.

Where it falls short

  • Weekly updates, with no daily option.
  • Prompts come from keywords, so you can't fully control them.
  • No content, outreach or fix layer, and the $79 price is labelled limited time.

User reviews

LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, so we have no user quotes to share.

Pricing

  • All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and all engines
  • 7-day free trial, with unlimited team members and projects.

10. Similarweb AI Brand Visibility: best for AI traffic data

Similarweb AI Brand Visibility is part of Similarweb's AI Search Intelligence, and it suits teams that want AI mentions and real AI referral traffic, for themselves and competitors, in one tool. We haven't used it ourselves, so this section is based on Similarweb's pricing page and knowledge center.

Setup is by brand and topic. You pick one brand, confirm the topics Similarweb suggests, and data shows up within about 20 minutes, with the top 30 brands for each topic.

Similarweb says its prompt analysis is built on real user prompts and refreshed daily, which is a different source from Ahrefs' keyword model. The part Brand Radar can't match is the traffic side, from Similarweb's own clickstream data.

Key features

  • AI Brand Visibility. Mentions, citations and share by topic, with 150 tracked prompts.
  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode in Similarweb's own platform examples.
  • Prompt Analysis. The prompts people ask on your topics, the full answers and the sources, refreshed daily.
  • AI Traffic. Visits from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and DeepSeek, for any site.
  • Sentiment and Citation Analysis on every plan.

Where it falls short

  • 1 user on every self-serve plan.
  • 3 months of history on the $99 plan.
  • One brand per setup.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

Most Similarweb reviews on G2 are about its traffic data, and we couldn't verify one about the AI Brand Visibility tool to quote.

Pricing

  • AEO Intelligence: $99/month billed yearly, or $129 monthly, for 150 prompts and 1 user
  • AEO & SEO & Competitive Intel: $333/month billed yearly, or $399 monthly
  • AEO & SEO & Ads & Competitive Intel: $542/month billed yearly, or $649 monthly
  • Every plan has a free trial.

What changed at Brand Radar in 2026

  • January: Custom prompt tracking launched, along with YouTube and Reddit visibility.
  • April: Grok was added for Ahrefs prompts and custom prompts. Ahrefs' help center now says it can't collect new Grok data for the time being, after a policy change on Grok's side.
  • May: New prompt-based indexes for AI Overviews and AI Mode, plus bot visits and AI traffic on cited pages.
  • July: Claude became available for custom prompts, tracked through the API with Claude Sonnet 4.6 and web search. Each Claude update uses 8 checks.
  • August: Ahrefs launched Letaido, a separate agent workspace that builds reports, dashboards and automations on Ahrefs data, including Brand Radar.
  • September: Brand Radar became available as a standalone purchase, with an Ahrefs Free account attached.
  • November 2026: The AI Visibility Index covers 496 million+ prompts across six platforms, and custom prompt packages can be bought without a paid Ahrefs plan.

Brand Radar pricing, explained

  • One platform: $199/month for the AI Visibility Index on a single platform, such as ChatGPT or AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • All platforms: $699/month for all six, with 2,500 custom prompt checks a month included.
  • Custom prompt packages: $50/month for 2,500 checks, $100 for 7,000 or $250 for 25,000, with overage from $0.01 to $0.02 per check.
  • Ahrefs plans: Lite ($129/month), Standard ($249) and Advanced ($449) include 150, 300 or 600 checks a month. One check is one prompt on one platform in one location, so 150 checks covers 5 prompts a day on one platform.
  • Trial: none. Ahrefs says it never runs discounts. The free AI Visibility Checker gives a short preview.

When to stay with Brand Radar

We haven't used Brand Radar ourselves, because Ahrefs doesn't offer a trial. Going by its help center and walkthrough videos, you type in a website and click Analyze, and Brand Radar finds your brand name and common competitors, then shows share of voice, mentions, citations and impressions side by side.

From there you can save the report, add custom prompts one per line or have it generate some, and pull the data out through the API, MCP, a Looker Studio connector or Ahrefs' Report Builder. The chatbot index is re-tested monthly on a 90-day window, while AI Overviews data updates every few days.

Stay with Brand Radar if:

  • You need market research, like checking a competitor's AI visibility before you've set up any prompts.
  • You already pay for Ahrefs and rely on its backlink and keyword data.
  • You want YouTube, TikTok and Reddit visibility in the same tool, which comes free in beta with a paid Ahrefs plan.

User reviews

Few reviews cover Brand Radar itself rather than Ahrefs' SEO tools. These two on G2 do:

“Brand Radar covers several LLMs, countries and languages, which few competitors do, and it shows which sources matter outside English-speaking markets. But every index update changes the metrics retroactively, so the history doesn't stay consistent.” (Source)

“Trending AI Overview queries are easy to find now. The data may be a bit inaccurate while it's in beta.” (Source)
