RankIQ alternatives are worth a look if you want more than a fixed keyword list and a grader, or if you need to know whether ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews mention your blog. RankIQ, the keyword and content tool for bloggers, has evolved into Aided, and $49 a month now buys RankIQ bundled with Aided's AI writing apps. Its hand-picked, low-competition keyword library is still useful, but neither RankIQ nor Aided tracks how you show up in AI answers.
These 10 RankIQ alternatives include live content editors, SEO suites with full keyword databases, AI writers and an agentic AI search platform. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we compared these RankIQ alternatives
RankIQ is a keyword library and content grader for bloggers, now sold with Aided's AI apps. For each alternative we checked:
- Where topic ideas come from, and how the editor or writer works
- Which AI engines the entry plan tracks, if any
- Whether it publishes or refreshes posts, and the real monthly cost
We've used Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit and SE Visible, SE Ranking's AI tracker, on trials. RankIQ, Surfer, NEURONwriter, Frase, Clearscope, Scalenut, PageOptimizer Pro, Koala and the SEO sides of Semrush and SE Ranking aren't on our tested list, so we describe them from their sites, pricing pages, docs, archived pages and user reviews. Quotes are condensed from Capterra, Trustpilot and WordPress.org and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We held it to the same checks and say where it falls short. Checked November 2026.

1. Orchly: best RankIQ alternative to show up in Google and AI answers
Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform for blogs and brands. It tracks you every day in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot as paid add-ons, and it also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek. It reads answers from each engine's real interface rather than an API, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule.
They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors, your SEO and your Search Console and GA4 data, pick which posts to write and which to refresh, and write them in your brand voice. They keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites, people and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach and draft the replies, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues with the fixes ranked. You decide whether each agent works on its own or waits for your approval.
RankIQ hands you a keyword list and a grader, and you do the rest. Orchly's agents run the work end to end, for the same $49 a month.
Posts chosen, written and refreshed by agents
- Content Agent. Runs on a schedule, finds posts to refresh as their clicks decay and new topics where AI cites competitors, then the AI article writer drafts each one in your voice.
- Publishing. Straight to WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Wix, Sanity or Ghost.
- Search Console, GA4 and rank tracking. See which posts earn clicks, conversions and revenue with Search Console and GA4, plus a Google rank tracker.
- Page 360. Each post's organic and AI data together.
Visibility in AI answers, outreach and site health
- Daily AI tracking. 25 prompts every day on Essential across ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot as add-ons, and Meta AI and DeepSeek also tracked. Answers come from each engine's real interface, not an API. RankIQ and Aided don't track AI answers.
- Mention Gap and perception. The pages AI cites for your topics that don't mention you, and how AI describes your brand.
- Site Health Agent. Audits your site for technical SEO and AI search issues that stop posts from being indexed or cited, and ranks the fixes.
- Activation Agent. Finds the publishers, people and Reddit threads AI cites, runs the outreach and drafts the replies.
Where Orchly falls short
- No niche keyword library. RankIQ's hand-picked, low-competition keywords help brand-new blogs that have no Search Console data yet.
- No social or email apps. RankIQ's $49 bundle includes Aided's apps for social posts, promo emails and AI chat. Orchly sticks to search and AI answers, with 1 user on Essential.
Orchly pricing
- Essential: $49/month for 25 prompts, 20 articles, 1 site and 1 user
- Pro: $125/month for 100 prompts, 50 articles, 3 sites and 5 users, with AI traffic analytics, custom agents and white-label reports
- Enterprise: custom, with a customer success manager
- There's a 7-day free trial, and yearly billing saves 25%.

2. Surfer: best content editor
Surfer is a content optimization platform built around a live Content Editor and Content Score, with AI visibility tracking from its Standard plan, which suits bloggers who want a more complete editor than RankIQ's grader and don't need a ready-made keyword list. We haven't used Surfer ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page, changelog and Capterra reviews.
The writing side works a lot like RankIQ's Content Optimizer. You enter a keyword, Surfer studies the top results, and the score climbs as you cover the terms, headings and questions those pages share, in Surfer, Google Docs or WordPress.
What you don't get is RankIQ's hand-picked keyword library. Surfer helps you write and fix pages, so you still need to find low-competition topics yourself.
AI tracking depends on the plan. Discovery has none, Standard checks 25 ChatGPT prompts once a week, and daily tracking on five engines needs Pro at $182 a month billed yearly.
Key features
- Content Editor and Content Score. Live scoring for Google and AI search, shown side by side since May 2026.
- AI Tracker. 25 weekly ChatGPT prompts on Standard, 50 daily prompts on five engines on Pro.
- Content audit and internal linking. Fixes for posts that are already live, plus rank drop alerts from Search Console.
- Mention Gap. The sources AI cites for your topics that don't mention you.
- Surfer MCP. Surfer data inside Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants, on Pro and up since October 2026.
Where it falls short
- No keyword library like RankIQ's, and no Claude, Grok or Copilot tracking.
- The cheapest plan has no AI tracking at all.
- Seats are capped by plan, from 1 on Discovery.
User reviews
“It's still the best NLP tool I've compared, and articles written from Surfer's guidelines are doing well in AI search too.” (Source)
“The AI made up statistics and ignored the reference material I gave it, and at nearly five times the price of similar tools, it doesn't add enough.” (Source)
“Easy to use, but it doesn't work that well in Spanish.” (Source)
Pricing
- Discovery: $49/month billed yearly ($59 monthly), with no AI tracking
- Standard: $99/month billed yearly ($119 monthly), with 25 weekly ChatGPT prompts
- Pro: $182/month billed yearly ($219 monthly), with 50 daily prompts on five engines
- AI Search Analytics alone is $82/month billed yearly. The 7-day Pro trial needs a card.
3. NEURONwriter: best cheap editor for bloggers
NEURONwriter is a low-cost NLP content editor from $23 a month, with a small AI visibility tracker on every plan, which suits budget bloggers who liked RankIQ's grader and want more reports for the money. We haven't used NEURONwriter ourselves, so this section draws on its pricing page, FAQ and Capterra reviews.
You pick a keyword, choose which competitor pages to learn from, and the editor suggests terms, questions and a target score as you write. Bronze includes 25 documents a month, more than RankIQ's 16 reports on its $49 plan.
Like Surfer, it has no curated keyword library, and one reviewer below wishes it had keyword research at all. You bring the topics.
AI tracking is basic. Every plan monitors 5 to 20 questions in Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and ChatGPT and Perplexity cost extra, from $9 a month.
Key features
- NLP content editor. Terms, questions and a target score from the competitor pages you choose.
- AI Visibility Standard. 5 to 20 questions in AI Overviews and AI Mode, by plan.
- AI Visibility Advanced add-on. Adds ChatGPT and Perplexity from $9 a month.
- Content Designer and AI writing. Drafts and rewrites on AI credits.
- Search Console, WordPress and MCP from the Gold plan.
Where it falls short
- No keyword research tool or niche keyword library.
- ChatGPT tracking is a paid add-on on every plan.
- Integrations and unlimited team members start on Gold at $69.
User reviews
“I chose it over KoalaWriter on pricing and features, and it keeps getting better. I did need a few YouTube videos to learn all the functions.” (Source)
“It does what it promises, but I'd love a keyword research tool, and the plagiarism check could be much better.” (Source)
Pricing
- Bronze: $23/month for 25 documents and 5 AI-monitored questions
- Silver: $45/month for 50 documents and 7 questions
- Gold: $69/month for 75 documents, 10 questions, integrations and unlimited team members
- Yearly billing gives 2 months free. The 7-day free trial runs on Gold, and there's a 30-day refund.
4. Frase: best research-to-publish tool
Frase is a content research and optimization platform that runs one AI agent across research, writing, publishing and content decay, with SEO and GEO scores and AI visibility tracking from $39 a month billed yearly, which suits small teams that want RankIQ's research and grading plus the writing and publishing. We haven't used Frase ourselves, so this section draws on its pricing page, changelog and Trustpilot reviews.
Frase rebuilt the product in early 2026. You ask the agent for what you want in plain language, and it researches the top results, drafts the post, scores it for Google and AI search and can publish it.
Content Guard covers the "optimize old posts" job RankIQ is known for. It watches your live pages for decay and proposes the fixes.
AI tracking is light on the entry plan. Starter checks 20 prompts in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, Perplexity comes with Professional, and Claude and Gemini need the $239 Scale plan.
Key features
- Frase agent. Research, briefs, drafts and optimization from plain-language requests.
- SEO and GEO scores. Each draft is scored for Google and for AI search.
- Content Guard. Watches 10 to 300 live pages for decay, depending on plan.
- AI Visibility. 20, 50 or 75 tracked prompts, rebuilt in October 2026.
- API, MCP server and a ChatGPT app on every plan.
Where it falls short
- Starter tracks only ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
- No curated keyword library for new blogs.
- Some lifetime-deal buyers say the move to the new platform broke their deal.
User reviews
“Our agency uses Frase for its GEO services, to research, create and monitor content for AI search.” (Source)
“Very bad experience, and the customer service wasn't friendly.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $39/month billed yearly ($49 monthly) for 1 seat, 10 articles and 20 prompts
- Professional: $103/month billed yearly ($129 monthly) for 3 seats, 40 articles and 50 prompts, adding Perplexity
- Scale: $239/month billed yearly ($299 monthly) for 5 seats, 100 articles and 75 prompts, adding Claude and Gemini
- Every plan has a 7-day free trial with no card.
5. SE Ranking: best budget SEO suite
SE Ranking is a mid-priced SEO suite with a full keyword database, daily rank tracking, site audits, backlinks, a content editor and AI prompt tracking, which suits bloggers who have outgrown RankIQ's curated list and want to research and track keywords themselves.
We used SE Visible, SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tool, on its trial. The SEO suite itself we know from its pricing page and Capterra reviews.
SE Visible was easy to start. Prompts are pooled across your brands and refresh daily on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews. We missed a PDF or white-label report, and Claude is still listed as coming soon.
The suite changed its plans in February 2026. Essential at $65 and Pro at $119 were replaced by Core at $129 and Growth at $279, and Core now includes 100 AI prompts tracked daily next to 2,000 keywords.
Key features
- Keyword Research. A full database with difficulty and volume, instead of a fixed library.
- Rank Tracker and Website Audit. 2,000 keywords daily and 250,000 audited pages a month on Core.
- AI Results Tracker. 100 daily prompts on Core for ChatGPT, AI Overviews and AI Mode.
- Content Marketing tools. A content editor and AI writer inside the suite.
- API credits and MCP access on Core and Growth.
Where it falls short
- The content editor is a small part of a large SEO suite.
- Deeper AI tracking sits in a second product, SE Visible.
- Payments are non-refundable, and Core includes one manager seat.
User reviews
“Affordable and well rounded for a small business, and the reporting is great. We switched because Semrush was too expensive for what we needed.” (Source)
“Cheap, with daily tracking for all our keywords, but daily scans don't always finish and reports fail to send, and we couldn't get a refund.” (Source)
“Keyword rank tracking and competitor analysis are the parts I use most.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $129/month, or $103.20 billed yearly, for 2,000 keywords and 100 daily prompts
- Growth: $279/month, or $223.20 billed yearly, for 5,000 keywords and 250 prompts
- AI Search add-on: from $89/month for 200 prompts, including SE Visible
- There's a 14-day free trial with no card.
6. Semrush: best for keyword depth
Semrush is an all-in-one SEO suite with a keyword database of more than 26 billion keywords, an SEO Writing Assistant for Google Docs and WordPress, and a separate AI Visibility Toolkit, which suits SEO teams that want far more keyword data than RankIQ's library and can pay for it. Semrush has been part of Adobe since April 28, 2026.
We haven't used Semrush's SEO toolkit or Writing Assistant for this comparison, so that side comes from its pricing page, help center and WordPress.org reviews. We have tested the AI Visibility Toolkit.
For a blogger, Keyword Magic is the closest thing to RankIQ's library, except you filter for low difficulty yourself. The Writing Assistant then scores drafts on SEO, readability and tone against the top 10 Google results.
In the AI Visibility Toolkit, Prompt Research was the report we kept going back to. What slowed us down was the allowance, with 25 prompts per domain for $99 a month on top of an SEO plan.
Key features
- Keyword Magic Tool. 26 billion+ keywords with volume, difficulty and intent.
- SEO Writing Assistant. Real-time SEO, readability and tone scores in Google Docs, WordPress and Word.
- Position Tracking and Site Audit. Daily rankings and a technical crawler.
- AI Visibility Toolkit. Daily prompt tracking on ChatGPT, AI Mode, Gemini and AI Overviews.
- Prompt Research. Volume and intent estimates for AI questions.
Where it falls short
- The SEO plan alone costs $139 a month, before any AI tracking.
- AI tracking is priced per domain, with 25 prompts each.
- Writing Assistant limits depend on your plan, with only 2 documents on the entry tier per the help center.
User reviews
“It works with my own Semrush account and shows different information from Yoast. Pretty good.” (Source)
“A 7-day trial isn't enough to see the value, because search engines aren't fast.” (Source)
“I've paid $99 a month for years, and the plugin still needs a higher plan.” (Source)
Pricing
- SEO plan: $139/month, or $117.33 billed yearly
- Semrush One Starter: $199/month with 50 AI prompts; Pro+: $299/month with 100
- AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain for 25 prompts
- Semrush has a free plan with limited data, and paid SEO plans start with a 7-day trial.
7. Clearscope: best for grading
Clearscope is a content grading tool that scores drafts from F to A++ inside Google Docs and WordPress, with unlimited users and query tracking in AI answers, which suits editorial teams that hand briefs to several writers. We haven't used Clearscope ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page, product pages and Capterra reviews.
It's the closest match to RankIQ's grader, just more polished. A writer opens the report, writes in Google Docs and watches the grade climb, and you don't pay per seat.
The AI side grew in 2026. Clearscope's product pages now list ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude for tracked queries, although the pricing page still names only ChatGPT and Gemini, and Essentials includes 50 tracked queries.
It costs more than twice RankIQ's bundle, and 20 drafts a month is a hard cap on both paid plans.
Key features
- Content grades. F to A++ against the terms and topics the top results cover.
- Google Docs add-on and WordPress plugin. The grade shows up where writers already work.
- Tracked Queries. Brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude over time.
- Content Inventory. Grades and Search Console clicks for your live pages.
- Unlimited users and projects on every plan.
Where it falls short
- 20 drafts a month on Essentials and Business.
- No Perplexity, AI Overviews or AI Mode tracking.
- No curated keyword library and no CMS publishing.
User reviews
“It saves me at least 30 minutes on every article.” (Source)
“We ranked articles without anyone on the team knowing SEO. The cost is the downside, and it could load faster.” (Source)
“I like the WordPress plugin and Google Docs extension. The price is higher than some alternatives.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: $129/month for 50 tracked queries, 20 Discoveries and 20 Drafts
- Business: $399/month for 300 tracked queries and 50 Discoveries
- Enterprise: custom, with SSO
- There's a 14-day free trial and no contract.
8. Scalenut: best budget bundle
Scalenut is an AI content platform that bundles keyword clusters, GEO article writing, content optimization, weekly AI visibility tracking and WordPress or Shopify publishing from $59 a month, which suits bloggers on a small budget who want the writing done too. We haven't used Scalenut ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page, archived pricing pages and Trustpilot reviews.
Next to RankIQ it does more of the work. Starter writes 5 GEO articles, optimizes 5 existing posts and tracks 10 prompts in ChatGPT and AI Overviews, and Plus at $89 adds auto-publishing and internal linking.
Tracking refreshes weekly on every plan, and Perplexity only arrives on Professional at $199.
The yearly deal on the page right now, 65% off with triple limits, is non-refundable. Several Trustpilot reviewers complain about billing and cancelling, and the profile has had no new reviews in the last 12 months.
Key features
- Keyword planner and topic clusters. 5 clusters on Starter, an advanced keyword planner on Professional.
- GEO article writer. 5, 30 or 75 articles a month, and as many optimizations.
- AI visibility tracking. 10, 25 or 100 prompts, refreshed weekly.
- Auto-publish to WordPress and Shopify, from Plus.
- Social Upreach. Reddit keywords and subreddits to watch, from Plus.
Where it falls short
- Weekly AI tracking on every plan.
- No Claude or Gemini, and Perplexity only on Professional.
- Starter has one workspace and no auto-publishing.
User reviews
“I can create, optimize and track content from one dashboard, and the keyword research makes topics easy to find.” (Source)
“The best AI SEO tool on the market.” (Source)
“The pile of 5-star reviews looks AI-written. The output is convincing as long as readers don't look too closely.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $59/month for 10 prompts, 5 articles and 1 workspace
- Plus: $89/month for 25 prompts, 30 articles and auto-publishing
- Professional: $199/month for 100 prompts, Perplexity and 75 articles
- 7-day free trial with no card. The current yearly deal is $21, $31 or $70 a month, non-refundable.
9. PageOptimizer Pro: best technical on-page tool
PageOptimizer Pro (POP) is an on-page SEO tool built on ranking-factor tests that tells you where to place keywords, variations and entities, with an AI Visibility Tracker on every plan, which suits technical bloggers who want page-level instructions rather than a single grade. We haven't used POP ourselves, so this section draws on its pricing page, product pages and Capterra reviews.
It goes into more detail than RankIQ's optimizer. You get keyword counts by page section, word count targets, entities and schema suggestions, and Watchdog warns you when a page slips.
The AI tracker covers ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, paid in credits. Basic includes 20 credits a month, so Unlimited at $62 billed yearly is the realistic starting point.
Key features
- POP Rank Engine reports. Exact keyword, variation and entity placement for each page.
- AI Visibility Tracker. ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, paid in credits.
- POP AI Writer. New pages or rewrites, cheaper with your own OpenAI key.
- Watchdog. Monitors 10, 200 or 500 pages for changes and drops.
- Chrome extension for Google Docs, WordPress and other editors.
Where it falls short
- Credits run out fast on Basic.
- A steep learning curve for new bloggers.
- No niche keyword library and no publishing.
User reviews
“I'm brand new to SEO and use it mainly for blogs. My posts are ranking and my citations are going up.” (Source)
“POP gets me executing instead of overthinking, but I wish the keyword search were as simple as Semrush or Moz.” (Source)
“It got me onto page one for many keywords, though the suggestions can be confusing and keep changing after each update.” (Source)
Pricing
- Basic: $40/month for 20 credits and 10 Watchdog pages
- Unlimited: $72/month, or $62 billed yearly, for unlimited POP reports and 50 credits
- Teams: $143/month, or $119 billed yearly, for 120 credits and 5 sub-accounts
- Every plan has a 7-day refund guarantee.
10. Koala: best cheap bulk writer
Koala AI is an AI article writer for bloggers and niche sites that drafts long-form posts with internal links, images and live Amazon data and publishes them to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Ghost, from $25 a month, which suits publishers who want volume more than optimization. We haven't used Koala ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page, changelog, archived pricing pages and Trustpilot reviews.
It's the opposite of RankIQ. RankIQ hands you a keyword and a grader and you write, while Koala writes the post from a keyword and you edit it.
Koala grew in 2026. Brand DNA learns your site and voice, a Growth Agent plans content from your Search Console data, and an MCP server lets Claude or ChatGPT use its research tools. It also has an AI search visibility check on credits, though we couldn't find which engines it covers.
The entry price changed too. Essentials at $9 a month for 15,000 words was replaced by Starter at $25 for 45,000 words between July and September 2026.
Key features
- KoalaWriter. Long-form articles from a keyword, with bulk mode and Amazon affiliate roundups.
- Brand DNA and Growth Agent. Content plans from your site, Search Console and Analytics data.
- KoalaLinks. Automatic internal linking, from Professional.
- One-click publishing to WordPress, Shopify, Webflow and Ghost.
- Koala AI MCP. 62 SEO and writing tools for your AI assistant, on every paid plan.
Where it falls short
- No curated keyword library like RankIQ's.
- The editor's SEO score starts on Professional at $49.
- No dashboard of tracked prompts or engines for AI answers.
User reviews
“The new Brand DNA feature has been very helpful, and the Growth Agent is great at finding low-hanging fruit.” (Source)
“I still prefer to write my own posts, so I mostly use it for research and ideas, but it keeps getting better.” (Source)
“I didn't spend my credits, so they were all gone.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $25/month for 45,000 words and 500 credits
- Professional: $49/month for 100,000 words, 1,000 credits, the article editor and Search Console dashboards
- Boost: $99/month for 250,000 words and Content Calendar Autopilot
- Annual billing saves 20%. The free plan gives 5,000 words with no card, and there's a 15-day refund window.
What changed with RankIQ in 2026
RankIQ didn't shut down, but it no longer sells itself on its own. Here's what changed, from RankIQ's homepage, Aided's site and archived copies of both.
- Until late January: rankiq.com still sold RankIQ alone at $49 a month, shown as 50% off a $99 rate, with its keyword library, content briefs, Content Optimizer and title tool.
- By early March: the homepage headline became "RankIQ Has Evolved into Aided", and existing RankIQ members got access to both RankIQ and Aided.
- By early April: the offer became one $49 a month bundle of RankIQ and Aided's Unlimited plan, shown as 87% off a $398 rate.
- Today: aided.com/riq-is-aided welcomes visitors to "Aided (Formerly RankIQ)". Aided writes a blog post, social posts and a promo email together, reworks old posts for AI answers without a rewrite, and includes chat with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity.
- Still missing: neither site shows any tracking of whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews mention or cite you, and Aided's pricing page shows placeholder template plans, so the $49 offer is the only clear price.
- Report caps: RankIQ's G2 and Capterra listings put the $49 plan at 16 reports a month. Neither site says whether the bundle changes that.
What RankIQ users say
RankIQ has only three reviews on Trustpilot and none from the last 12 months.
“It gives me creative ideas and a list of words to improve my rankings. If you don't want the $50 plan, ask for the $29 one.” (Source)
“Almost nothing for the money, and they make it hard to leave.” (Source)
When to stay with RankIQ
- You run a new niche blog and want hand-picked, low-competition keywords without doing research yourself.
- You write every post yourself and only need a simple grader and title help.
- You'd use Aided's social, email and AI chat apps, which come in the same $49 bundle.
- You don't need to know whether AI answers mention your blog yet.
