Promptmonitor alternatives are worth a look if you want more than three AI engines on a small budget. Promptmonitor is a low-cost AI visibility tracker with one useful extra, the contact details of the publishers AI cites. But its $39 Starter plan now covers only ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, checked twice a week with one seat. Claude and DeepSeek start on the $79 Growth plan, and Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode on the $149 Pro plan.
Every plan also caps the AI answers you get each month, and the public changelog hasn't had a new entry since March 2026. These 10 Promptmonitor alternatives give you more engines, steadier daily data, or agents that act on what they find. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we tested these Promptmonitor alternatives
We used Promptmonitor ourselves, then signed up for Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Rankscale, Promptwatch, Scrunch and SE Visible and ran the same buyer prompts through each. For every tool we noted:
- Which AI engines the plan you can buy really includes, and whether Claude and Grok cost more
- How many prompts run, how often, and what answer caps sit behind them
- Whether it helps you act on the data, and what a month really costs
AthenaHQ needed a sales call, so we went by its docs and demo videos. LLMrefs and Trakkr are covered from their pricing pages and docs. Review quotes are condensed from G2, OMR Reviews, Product Hunt and Trustpilot and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best Promptmonitor alternative to turn daily data into AI visibility
Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It tracks your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, across the whole loop.
They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data. They find the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
Promptmonitor gives you the data and the publishers' contact details, then leaves the outreach and the writing to your team. That's a tracker plus a to-do list. Orchly's agents run the work end to end, from $49 a month.
Daily tracking, no caps to manage
- Every prompt, every day. ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot as add-ons (Orchly also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek).
- Prompts by brand and intent. Branded vs non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional.
- Perception and fact check. The attributes and objections AI attaches to your brand, and the claims in AI answers checked against your Brand Brain.
- Query fan-outs. The background searches behind each answer.
From contacts to outreach
- Mention Gap. The cited sources that name competitors but not you.
- Activation Agent. Finds the publishers, Reddit threads and YouTube creators AI draws on, drafts the outreach and the Reddit replies, and sends from your Gmail, Zoho Mail or SMTP inbox, directly or after your approval. Promptmonitor stops at the contact details.
- Content and Site Health agents. Articles and refreshes published to your CMS, and technical fixes.
Search data
- Search Console and GA4. Organic clicks, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4.
Where Orchly falls short
- Claude, Grok and Copilot cost extra. They're add-ons in Orchly. Promptmonitor's $79 Growth plan includes Claude and DeepSeek, and its $149 Pro plan adds Grok.
- Higher entry price. Promptmonitor Starter is $39 a month, and yearly billing saves 15%. Orchly starts at $49.
Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 5 users, white-label reports). 7-day free trial.
See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.
2. LLMrefs: best flat price for many engines
LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers 11 AI engines, Claude and Grok included, on one $79 plan, which suits Promptmonitor users who want every engine without paying for the $149 Pro plan. We haven't run LLMrefs ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page, docs and what brands we work with have told us.
You don't write prompts. You add the keywords you already track for SEO, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind them, 500 in all, and rolls the results up per keyword.
That's quick if you think in keywords. The trade-off is less control over the exact questions, and reports refresh weekly, where Promptmonitor's Growth plan runs your own prompts daily.
Key features
- About ten engines, no add-on fees. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek.
- Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with monthly volume estimates.
- Share of voice. Brands ranked by share of voice and average position per keyword.
- Geo-targeting. 50+ countries and 20+ languages.
- Agency setup. Unlimited projects and seats, CSV export and an API.
Where it falls short
- Weekly data, not daily.
- Prompts come from your keywords, so you can't fully control them.
- No sentiment, content or outreach, and the $79 price is labelled limited-time.
User reviews
LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, and its single Product Hunt rating has no written review, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and every engine
- 7-day free trial, with unlimited team members and projects.
3. Otterly.AI: best budget daily tracker
Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool for small teams and agencies, and its $29 Lite plan runs every prompt daily on four engines, where Promptmonitor's $39 Starter checks three twice a week.
We signed up and added our brand. Otterly suggested competitors and prompts, and the first report was ready in about 15 minutes.
The dashboard is simple. You get coverage, position and sentiment against competitors, plus a Brand Visibility Index that sorts brands into Leaders, Niche and Low Performance. We liked how quickly it showed which competitor owns each prompt.
What you won't get is Promptmonitor's publisher contacts, so outreach research stays manual. Lite also stops at 15 prompts, and Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons.
Key features
- Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot.
- Daily runs with unlimited seats on every plan.
- GEO audit and recommendations for your URLs, capped at 3 a week on Lite.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from server logs, Cloudflare or a WordPress plugin, added in August 2026.
- Looker Studio connector, plus a public API and MCP from Standard.
Where it falls short
- 15 prompts on Lite.
- Engine add-ons push all 7 engines on Standard to about $416 a month, and there's no Grok.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“It saves us a lot of time compared with checking each AI platform by hand, and the insights show how content updates move our visibility.” (Source)
“The prompt research tool gives us exactly what we need. But the jump to €189 a month for Standard is a stretch for a small agency.” (Source)
“Some sentiment calls are far too sensitive, so neutral mentions show up as slightly negative.” (Source)
Pricing
- Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
- Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
- Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
- Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.
4. Peec AI: best for dependable tracking
Peec AI is an AI search analytics platform for marketing teams and agencies that runs your prompts daily with unlimited seats on every plan, which makes it a steady replacement for teams that outgrew Promptmonitor's caps.
We signed up and had it running in a few minutes. Peec read our site, suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors filled in per engine.
The sources view is what we used most. Cited domains come labelled as owned, editorial, reference or UGC, so you can see which kinds of sites shape the answers in your category. It doesn't hand you publisher contacts the way Promptmonitor does, though.
It also ships steadily. Actions, an MCP server, Shopping, Ads, GA4 AI referrals and Brand Perception all arrived in 2026, while Promptmonitor's changelog went quiet in March.
Key features
- Model choice. Pick 3 models, such as ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot or Gemini, and add more, Perplexity included, for a monthly fee.
- Source analytics. Cited domains and URLs labelled as owned, editorial, reference or UGC.
- Actions. Ranked suggestions for pages to fix, threads to join and content gaps, since February 2026.
- Brand Perception and GA4 AI referrals, both added in September 2026.
- MCP server since April 2026, plus Looker Studio on Advanced.
Where it falls short
- 50 prompts on 3 engines on Starter.
- Claude, Grok and DeepSeek need an Enterprise plan.
- No writing or outreach. Actions suggest the work and your team does it.
User reviews
“Data started flowing at signup with zero setup.” (Source)
“Its API is solid, so is the Looker connection, and for the price I think it's the best option on the market. I do wish it cost less.” (Source)
“It shows how our AI visibility is tracking, but it doesn't give clear recommendations on how to improve it, and the navigation is noisy.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: €85/month (about $95) for 50 prompts and 3 models
- Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts
- Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts and Looker Studio
- Unlimited users on every plan, and 15% off with yearly billing. Extra models cost from €25 a month.
5. Trakkr: best for Claude and Grok plus content
Trakkr is an AI visibility platform for brands and agencies that includes 8 AI models, Claude and Grok among them, on every plan, plus 25 articles a month on its $100 Growth plan. We haven't used Trakkr ourselves, so this section draws on its pricing page and product listing.
Next to Promptmonitor, the model list is the draw. You'd need Promptmonitor's $149 Pro plan to get Claude, Grok and AI Overviews together, and Trakkr includes them all from $100, tracked daily.
The limit is volume. Growth tracks one brand with 50 prompts, and the jump to more brands is the $500 Scale plan.
Key features
- 8 models on every plan. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
- Daily tracking for every brand's prompts.
- Articles. 25 a month on Growth and 100 on Scale.
- Citations and perception. Cited sources, sentiment and the qualities AI links to your brand.
- Sharing and MCP. Shareable reports, exports and MCP access on Growth, with client portals and a REST API on Scale.
Where it falls short
- 50 prompts per brand on both plans.
- No AI Mode or Copilot tracking.
- No publisher contacts or outreach.
- The 14-day trial needs a card.
User reviews
Trakkr has a single rating on G2 and no written reviews we could read, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- Growth: $100/month for 1 brand, 50 prompts, 25 articles and 3 seats
- Scale: $500/month for 10 brands, unlimited seats, client portals and API
- Enterprise: from $1,000/month, billed annually
- 14-day free trial, card required. Annual billing saves about 17%.
6. Rankscale: best for cadence control
Rankscale is a credit-based AI rank tracker with 21 engines and models and a schedule you set per search term, for hands-on SEOs who want to decide exactly what runs and when.
We tried it on the 7-day Pro trial. A run on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode costs 0.25 credits, DeepSeek 1 and Claude 2, so we checked our money prompts daily on several engines and the long tail weekly.
That's the opposite of Promptmonitor, where the plan decides the engines and the schedule. On Rankscale you can run Claude daily for a few prompts without paying for a bigger tier.
Honestly, the dashboards took us a while, and client reporting is mostly something you build yourself. Also note that Perplexity interface monitoring has been paused since October 12, 2026, while Rankscale works around login walls.
Key features
- 21 engines and models, including ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok.
- Flexible schedule. Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly per search term.
- Query fan-out. The searches AI runs while answering, plus ChatGPT follow-up questions.
- Local Results. AI map listings, added in October 2026.
- Credit rollover of up to 2x your monthly allowance on Pro and Pro+.
- MCP and Looker Studio, with white-label share links from Growth.
Where it falls short
- Credits go quickly if you track many engines daily.
- Client reporting is mostly manual.
- Essentials is sold yearly only.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
“The prompt research is really helpful, and the UX is simple.” (Source)
“I like how many LLMs I can track and the page audits for LLM readability. But I can only audit single pages, not a whole site, and for citations I prefer Peec.” (Source)
“Bulk editing isn't easy, and it gets cluttered with keyword and model combinations.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: $17/month, billed yearly only, for 120 credits
- Pro: $99/month for 1,200 credits
- Pro+: $229/month for 3,000 credits and API access
- Growth: $385/month for 5,500 credits and white-label links
- Pro has a 7-day free trial.
7. AthenaHQ: best for many engines with actions
AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform with a free plan and 11 engines on its $295 Starter plan, Claude and Grok included, for growth teams that want broad coverage in one place. AthenaHQ routed us to a sales call before access, so this section is based on its documentation, demo videos and G2 reviews.
According to the docs, setup only needs a domain. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests about 10 competitors and drafts 10 prompts, and every metric links to the stored answers behind it.
It runs on credits, like Promptmonitor's AI answers. One credit is one AI response, so the 3,600 credits on Starter go faster than they sound once you run prompts on many engines.
The recommendation engine and the Athena Citation Engine are Enterprise only, so the self-serve plans are mostly about tracking.
Key features
- 11 engines on Starter, including AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral.
- Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot.
- Clickable metrics. Share of voice, mention rate and citation rate by model, each linked to the answers.
- Sources and Brand Traits. Cited domains labelled as yours, a competitor's or a third party's, plus the words AI uses about you.
- Unlimited seats on every plan.
Where it falls short
- No plan between free and $295 a month.
- Personas, recommendations, the Athena Citation Engine, BI exports and SSO are Enterprise only.
- Self-serve plans cover one country.
User reviews
“It shows which competitor articles get picked up instead of us, and in what format.” (Source)
“We see ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude without an add-on fee. The prompt library takes a few days to build, because there are no industry templates.” (Source)
“The help documentation is thin next to more mature tools.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
- Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
- Enterprise: custom
8. Promptwatch: best for crawler logs and content
Promptwatch is an AI search visibility platform that combines prompt tracking, content writing and AI crawler logs, for growth teams and agencies that want the data and the content work in one tool.
We signed up for the 7-day trial. You enter your URL, pick 5 prompts, and it collects answers from the chatbots' own interfaces rather than through APIs.
Every plan includes all its models, Claude among them, where Promptmonitor keeps Claude for Growth and up. Like Promptmonitor, it caps responses. Essential's 6,000 a month won't cover 50 prompts on every model every day, so in practice you choose models or check less often.
Content writing and Agent Analytics start on Professional at $245. The dashboards are dense, and we spent most of our time in Citations Analysis.
Key features
- All models on every plan. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek.
- Citations Analysis. Which of your pages and which third-party sources get pulled into answers.
- Content writing and refresh, grounded in a knowledge base, from Professional.
- Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits to your pages through log integrations, from Professional.
- MCP and API on every plan, plus Search Console, WordPress, Webflow and Slack.
Where it falls short
- 6,000 responses on Essential limit how many models you can run daily.
- Content tools and crawler logs need the $245 plan.
- No Grok and no outreach.
User reviews
“It shows how LLMs see our products and which content gaps we need to close.” (Source)
“Share of voice and sentiment per platform go straight into our monthly reporting without any reformatting. There's a learning curve before the data becomes actionable, though.” (Source)
“Support fixed our issues quickly, but the tokens deplete fast and it's a bit pricey.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essential: $95/month for 50 prompts, 6,000 responses and 1 project
- Professional: $245/month for 150 prompts, 18,000 responses, content writing and Agent Analytics
- Business: $579/month for 350 prompts and 42,000 responses
- Essential and Professional come with a 7-day free trial.
9. Scrunch: best for technical teams
Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that care about how AI crawlers read their site as much as what the answers say. Sitecore has owned it since June 2026.
We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided. Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and your topics, and start from five suggested prompts.
Its single self-serve plan, Core, costs $250 for 125 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. That's more than Promptmonitor Pro and covers fewer engines, since Claude, Gemini, AI Mode and Grok need an Enterprise contract.
The technical side is the reason to pay for it. Site audits and Agent Traffic show how AI crawlers read your pages, which Promptmonitor only gets close to with its bot analytics middleware.
Key features
- Core engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month.
- Site audits. 5 a month on Core.
- Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
- GA4 AI referrals, enhanced in October 2026, plus an MCP server.
- Agent Experience Platform (AXP). Serves AI agents an optimized version of your pages, on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- Claude, Gemini, AI Mode and Grok are Enterprise only.
- 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language on Core.
- New prompts run daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours.
- No content creation or outreach.
User reviews
“I can see the different answers AI gives different users, based on demographic data.” (Source)
“Onboarding all of our clients took my team a couple of hours. Connecting the agent traffic tool to our clients' CMS is difficult, though.” (Source)
“New features often reach the API before the dashboard, which is good and bad.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $250/month for 125 prompts on 4 engines, 5 seats and 5 site audits
- Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, custom prompts, AXP, API and SSO
- 7-day free trial on Core.
10. SE Visible: best for agencies
SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker, with daily checks, prompts pooled across projects and unlimited users, which suits agencies tracking several brands at once.
We used the 10-day trial. Setup asks for a brand name, up to five topics, and a country and language. After the first scan it suggested competitors and other names for our brand, which saved some typing.
Against Promptmonitor the allowance is the big difference. Basic gives you 200 prompts across 3 projects for $99, checked daily, and each prompt counts once however many engines it runs on. We liked reading each answer exactly as the engine gave it.
Engines are where it falls behind. It covers four, and Claude is still marked coming soon.
Key features
- Four engines. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews.
- Pooled prompts. One allowance shared across projects and engines.
- Daily refresh through real browser sessions.
- Competitor Gap Analysis. Ranks the sources that cite competitors but not you, since July 2026.
- Unlimited users and an API on every plan, with CSV and XLSX exports.
Where it falls short
- No Claude yet, and no Grok or Copilot.
- No PDF or white-label reports.
- Tracks only, with no content or outreach.
User reviews
SE Visible has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, so we have no user quotes to share.
Pricing
- Basic: $99/month for 200 prompts and 3 projects
- Core: $189/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
- Plus: $355/month for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects
- Yearly billing saves 20%, and there's a 10-day free trial.
What changed with Promptmonitor in 2026
Promptmonitor has reworked its plans more than once this year. Here's what we found on its pricing page, its help center, archived copies of the pricing page and its changelog.
- New prices (autumn 2026). When we checked in September, the page showed $29, $39 and $129 a month on yearly billing ($49, $66 and $219 month to month). It now leads with $39, $79 and $149 billed monthly. Like for like, Growth went up, from $66 to $79 monthly and from $39 to $67 yearly, while Starter and Pro got cheaper on monthly billing.
- Engines moved up the plans. In early 2026 every plan included ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok and Perplexity. Now Starter covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, Growth adds Claude and DeepSeek, and Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode are on Pro only.
- Starter checks twice a week. It ran daily in February and switched to twice a week by May. It still has 1 seat.
- Features moved to Growth. Web and bot analytics and CSV exports used to be on Starter. The help center now lists them, along with Google Search Console, from Growth up.
- A pricing page that disagrees with itself. The copy below the plans says every plan includes daily tracking and unlimited seats, but the plan cards say Starter is semi-weekly with 1 seat. The FAQ says the trial needs no card, while the help center says you add a card at the end of setup and get charged on day 8 unless you cancel.
- A quiet changelog. The last public entries are from March 2026: CSV export on dashboard pages (March 2) and weekly visibility reports sent to every user on an account (March 14). Nothing has been posted since.
Promptmonitor's response caps, explained
Every Promptmonitor plan comes with a monthly allowance of AI answers: 2,250 on Starter, 4,500 on Growth and 14,000 on Pro. One answer is one prompt, run once, on one model, in one location.
On Growth, 50 prompts on 5 models every day would need about 7,500 answers a month, well over the 4,500 cap. Pro's 150 prompts on all 8 models daily would need about 36,000 against a cap of 14,000.
Locations multiply it too. Adding a second city or country to every prompt doubles what each run uses. When the credits run out, crawls stop until your plan renews or you buy more, and unused credits don't roll over.
So in practice you pick which prompts and models run daily. Starter is the exception, because 25 prompts on 3 models twice a week uses well under its 2,250.
When to stay with Promptmonitor
We used Promptmonitor ourselves. Setup took about a minute. You enter a domain and the dashboard is there, starting at 0% because there's no history yet.
The Sources report is the part we'd pay for. Every cited URL comes with the model, the count, first and last seen dates, an opportunity score and the publisher's contact details, which saved us a step when we planned outreach. The rest felt less finished. Some suggestions in the Actions tab still talked about 2024 and SGE, and similar prompts got almost identical advice.
Stay with Promptmonitor if:
- You want publisher contacts for citation outreach without paying for a bigger platform.
- You track a small set of prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and twice a week is often enough.
- You need city-level results. It offers 200+ locations.
- You want Claude and DeepSeek daily for $79 a month and can live within 4,500 answers.
User reviews
Promptmonitor has no reviews on G2 or Capterra. Product Hunt has one 5-star review and Trustpilot one 1-star review, with no reply from the company:
“My marketing team uses it to find more strategic ways to make our product more visible.” (Source)
“It never monitored our prompts because the tool kept loading, and I was charged after I asked to cancel.” (Source)
One review isn't a pattern, but keep an eye on billing during the trial.
