The best Perplexity rank tracking tools in November 2026 are Orchly, Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Promptwatch and Promptmonitor, with the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Scrunch, LLMrefs, Rankscale and Profound worth a look for narrower jobs. We judged all 10 on which plan includes Perplexity, what it costs, how many prompts it covers, how often Perplexity re-runs and whether the tool records the sources Perplexity cites.
Citations matter more on Perplexity than anywhere else. It phased out the ads it tested and said in February 2026 it has no plans to bring them back, and in Ahrefs' September 2026 data Reddit and YouTube took 21.6% and 20.8% of the citations going to Perplexity's 50 most-cited websites. Prices checked in November 2026.
How we checked these Perplexity trackers
We used Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Promptwatch, Promptmonitor, Scrunch, Rankscale, Profound and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit on their trials or entry plans, ran our usual buyer prompts and looked at:
- Which plan includes Perplexity, and what it really costs
- Prompts on that plan, and how often Perplexity re-runs
- Whether the tool records the sources Perplexity cites, and what it does next
Profound's trial didn't include Perplexity, and LLMrefs isn't on our tested list, so for those we went by pricing pages and docs. Review quotes are condensed from G2, OMR, Product Hunt and Trustpilot and link to the original.
Orchly is our product. We held it to the same checks and say where it falls short. Checked November 2026.

1. Orchly: best Perplexity rank tracker to earn more Perplexity citations
Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. Its Perplexity tracker runs your prompts every day through the real Perplexity interface, not an API, from different locations, and records whether you're mentioned, your position and every numbered source Perplexity cites. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews are included on every plan, with Gemini, Google AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Microsoft Copilot as paid add-ons, and it also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek.
Its agents run on their own, on a schedule. They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors, your SEO and your Search Console and GA4 data, decide what to write and which pages to refresh, and do it in your brand voice. They keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites, people and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach and draft the replies, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues with the fixes ranked. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.
Most trackers on this list give you a Perplexity score and a to-do list. Orchly's agents run the work end to end, from $49 a month with a 7-day free trial.
Every citation, and the ones you're missing
- Citation analytics. Perplexity cites sources on nearly every answer. Orchly shows which domains and URLs get cited for your prompts, split by your pages, competitors, forums, video and publishers.
- Mention Gap. The cited sources that mention your competitors but not you. On Perplexity, that list is usually full of Reddit threads and YouTube videos.
Reddit and YouTube, where Perplexity looks first
In Ahrefs' September 2026 data, Reddit and YouTube took 21.6% and 20.8% of the citations going to Perplexity's 50 most-cited websites, and Ahrefs says Perplexity's top source is more concentrated than any other assistant's.
- Activation Agent. It has dedicated Reddit and YouTube tabs that surface the threads and videos Perplexity cites in your category, plus publishers for link building and citation outreach from your own inbox.
- Reddit mentions. Orchly monitors Reddit conversations about your brand, your category and your competitors, so you know where to join in.
What Perplexity says about you
- Prompts by brand and intent. Branded vs non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional, so you can see where new buyers find competitors instead of you.
- Perception and fact check. The attributes Perplexity links to your brand, the objections it raises, and any claims that contradict your real pricing or features.
- Query fan-outs. The background searches behind each answer, which show what your pages need to rank for.
Traffic and action
- Perplexity referrals. AI traffic analytics show PerplexityBot crawls and the visitors Perplexity sends you, separately. Available on Pro.
- Content Agent. Picks the prompts you're losing, writes new articles and refreshes existing pages in your brand voice, and publishes them to your CMS, directly or after your approval.
Where Orchly falls short
- 25 prompts on Essential. Enough to start, but most teams tracking Perplexity seriously move to Pro for 100. LLMrefs gives you 500 weekly prompts for $79.
- Other engines cost extra. ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews are included. Gemini, AI Mode, Claude, Grok and Copilot are paid add-ons.
- No prompt volume estimates. Orchly suggests prompts from your market and site, but doesn't estimate how often each one is asked. Profound and Semrush do.
Orchly pricing
- Essential: $49/month for 25 prompts refreshed daily, Perplexity included, 20 articles, 1 site and 1 user
- Pro: $125/month for 100 prompts, 50 articles, 3 sites and 5 users, with AI traffic analytics, custom agents and white-label reports
- Enterprise: custom, with a customer success manager
- There's a 7-day free trial, and yearly billing saves 25%.
See Orchly pricing or start a free trial.
2. Peec AI: best clean Perplexity tracking
Peec AI is an AI search analytics platform that tracks Perplexity daily, but on its self-serve plans Perplexity is a paid extra model on top of the three you choose, which suits teams that want clean Perplexity source data with unlimited seats.
We signed up and ran it on our usual buyer prompts. Setup took a few minutes. Peec read our site, suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors filled in for each model.
Check the model list before you buy. Starter, Pro and Advanced let you pick 3 of ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Perplexity isn't on that list. It's sold as an additional model, from $30 a month on Starter billed yearly, on top of the $95 plan.
Once Perplexity is switched on, the sources view is where Peec earns its place. Every cited domain is labelled owned, editorial, reference or UGC, and the gap analysis lists the sources that name competitors but not you. Peec collects answers by scraping the interface people use, not the API.
Key features
- Daily tracking. Visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice for every prompt.
- Source analytics. Cited domains and URLs, classified as competitor, editorial, reference or UGC.
- Gap analysis. Sources that appear often and name competitors but not you.
- Actions and Peec Agent. Ranked fixes from your data, and since October 22, 2026, an agent that drafts briefs and page edits.
- Unlimited users on every plan.
Where it falls short
- Perplexity costs extra on Starter, Pro and Advanced.
- 3 models per plan, and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are Enterprise only.
- The agent drafts, but publishing and outreach stay with your team.
User reviews
Most Peec AI reviews have been quoted in our other comparisons, so these are two we hadn't used.
“We use it to track how our content and brand show up in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews, and it helps us optimize faster.” (Source)
“It's already extensive for how new it is, but I'd still like a few more features.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $95/month (€85) for 50 prompts on 3 models, daily, 1 project
- Pro: $245/month (€205) for 150 prompts and 2 projects
- Advanced: $495/month (€425) for 350 prompts and 5 projects
- Perplexity as an extra model: from $30/month on Starter, $70 on Pro and $140 on Advanced, billed yearly
- Yearly billing saves 15%.
3. Otterly.AI: best budget Perplexity tracker
Otterly.AI is a low-cost AI search monitoring tool that includes Perplexity on every plan from $29 a month, next to ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot, which suits small teams that want daily Perplexity tracking without paying for an add-on.
We signed up and added our brand. Otterly built a competitor list and suggested prompts, and the first report was ready in about 15 minutes.
It reads answers from the AI search websites themselves, and Otterly says it only uses an API for Claude. We liked opening a prompt and seeing the Perplexity answer next to the sources it cited.
Citation reports split those sources by domain and URL, so you can see which sites Perplexity leans on for your prompts. Lite's 15 prompts go quickly, though, and the next step is $189.
Key features
- Daily checks on 4 engines, Perplexity included, with mentions, citations, position and sentiment.
- Citation reports by domain and URL, with changes over time.
- Brand Visibility Index. Sorts every brand into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance.
- GEO URL audits and recommendations, capped at 3 a week on Lite.
- Unlimited seats, plus API and MCP access from Standard.
Where it falls short
- 15 prompts on Lite, then a big jump to $189.
- Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“With ChatGPT and Perplexity especially, it used to be hard to see who gets cited and how our brand compares. The brand reports and prompt tracking show us that now.” (Source)
“The reports are thorough, but they could be summarized more.” (Source)
Pricing
- Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
- Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
- Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
- Yearly billing saves 15%, and there's a free trial.
4. Promptwatch: best for Reddit-heavy citation tracking
Promptwatch is an AI visibility platform that runs every prompt on Perplexity and every other model it supports, daily, from $95 a month, which suits teams that care about the Reddit threads and community sources Perplexity cites.
We used Promptwatch on its trial. Setup is quick. You enter your URL, pick 5 prompts, and it collects answers from the chatbot interfaces people actually use.
For Perplexity, the useful part is that you don't have to choose engines. Essential covers 50 prompts and 6,000 responses a month, and each prompt comes back from Perplexity, ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, Gemini, Claude and the rest.
Citations Analysis is the view to open. It shows which pages and third-party sources get pulled into answers, and reviewers single out its Reddit citation data. Content writing, the knowledge base and Agent Analytics start at $245.
Key features
- Every model on every plan, Perplexity included.
- Daily tracking, collected by scraping the chatbots' own interfaces.
- Citations Analysis. The pages and third-party sources each model cites.
- Content writing and refresh from Professional.
- MCP and API on every plan, and Agent Analytics from Professional.
Where it falls short
- 50 prompts on Essential.
- Content writing starts at $245, and Shopping Insights and Ads Radar need the $579 Business plan.
- No outreach, and your team still publishes what it writes.
User reviews
We've quoted Promptwatch's reviews in earlier comparisons, so these are parts we hadn't leaned on.
“We track 60 prompts and can finally see which ones surface us in ChatGPT and Perplexity, and which only ever return competitors.” (Source)
“Reddit citations are my main focus, and it gives me an accurate read on them.” (Source)
“Setup takes thought. You have to be deliberate about prompts and personas to get meaningful data.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essential: $95/month for 50 prompts and 6,000 responses, 1 project
- Professional: $245/month for 150 prompts, 18,000 responses and 2 projects
- Business: $579/month for 350 prompts, 42,000 responses and 5 projects
- There's a 7-day free trial.
5. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for SEO teams
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit tracks how Perplexity talks about your brand through weekly Brand Performance reports, from $99 a month per domain billed annually, which suits SEO teams that already work in Semrush and don't need daily Perplexity checks on their own prompts.
We used the AI Visibility Toolkit ourselves. You click AI in the left menu, enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100, which is easy to explain to a manager.
For Perplexity, the split between reports matters. Prompt Tracking, where you add your own prompts and get daily positions, covers ChatGPT Search, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini. Perplexity isn't one of them.
Perplexity shows up in Brand Performance instead, which uses prompts Semrush generates for your domain and updates weekly. You see share of voice, sentiment and cited sources, but you can't choose the exact Perplexity prompts.
Key features
- Brand Performance. Share of voice, sentiment and cited sources across ChatGPT, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity, updated weekly.
- Prompt Tracking. Daily positions for your own prompts on ChatGPT Search, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini.
- Prompt Research. Volume and intent estimates from a database of 317 million+ prompts.
- AI search site audit. Checks whether PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User and other AI crawlers can reach your pages.
Where it falls short
- No custom Perplexity prompts, and Perplexity data is weekly.
- 25 prompts per domain, each extra domain is another $99, and each user needs a license.
- It recommends changes but doesn't make them.
User reviews
Few Semrush reviews are about the AI toolkit itself, so we have two.
“Brand Performance gives clear share of voice, sentiment and citation tracking across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity, but updates are mostly weekly.” (Source)
“As an agency, every brand we added kept billing $99 a month until support removed it.” (Source)
Pricing
- AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain for 25 prompts, billed annually
- Semrush One Starter: $199/month with 50 tracked prompts
- Semrush One Pro+: $299/month with 100 tracked prompts
- There's no standalone trial for the toolkit. The trial comes through Semrush One.
6. Promptmonitor: best for Perplexity sources with publisher contacts
Promptmonitor is an AI visibility tracker that includes Perplexity on its $39 Starter plan, next to ChatGPT and Gemini, which suits small teams that want Perplexity's cited sources plus the contacts to go after them.
We used Promptmonitor ourselves. Setup took about a minute. You enter a domain and the dashboard appears, starting at 0% because there's no history yet.
Starter checks your 25 prompts twice a week, with one seat. Daily runs start on Growth at $79, which also adds Claude and DeepSeek.
The Sources report is the part we'd pay for. Each URL Perplexity cites comes with how often and when it was first and last seen, an opportunity score and who to contact at the site. Some of the action suggestions read dated, though, and one still mentioned SGE.
Key features
- Perplexity on Starter, with ChatGPT and Gemini.
- Sources report. Cited URLs by model, with counts and first and last seen dates.
- Publisher contacts and opportunity scores for cited sites, on every plan.
- Daily tracking from Growth, and all 8 models on Pro.
Where it falls short
- Twice-weekly checks and one seat on Starter.
- Some action suggestions are out of date.
- AI bot analytics needs middleware on your site.
User reviews
Promptmonitor has no reviews on G2 or Capterra. These are the only two we found, and we've quoted both before.
“My marketing team uses it to find more strategic ways to raise our product's visibility.” (Source)
“It never stopped loading, and I was charged after asking to cancel.” (Source)
Pricing
- Starter: $39/month for 25 prompts checked twice a week on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, 1 seat
- Growth: $79/month for 50 prompts checked daily, adding Claude and DeepSeek
- Pro: $149/month for 150 prompts on all 8 models
- Yearly billing saves 15%, and there's a 7-day free trial.
7. Scrunch: best for technical teams
Scrunch, now part of Sitecore, is an AI visibility platform that includes Perplexity on its $250 Core plan with 125 prompts and shows how AI bots crawl your site, which suits technical marketing teams.
We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided. Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and your topics, and start from five suggested prompts.
Citations and sources come with Core, so you can see which pages Perplexity relies on for each prompt. Query fan-out is limited on Core.
Know the refresh rate before you compare. New prompts run daily for their first 14 days, then every 72 hours, so it isn't a daily Perplexity tracker once things settle.
Key features
- 4 engines on Core. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 5,000 responses a month.
- Citations and sources for every prompt.
- Agent Traffic. AI bot visits from your CDN or host.
- Site audits. 5 a month on Core.
Where it falls short
- Prompts drop to every 72 hours after 14 days.
- Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Grok and Meta AI are Enterprise only.
- One country, language and persona on Core.
User reviews
Scrunch's G2 reviews have been quoted in many of our comparisons, so we kept this to two.
“It's easy to surface the domains and URLs getting cited for the prompts we target.” (Source)
“I'd like more raw mention counts on the dashboard and fewer percentages.” (Source)
Pricing
- Core: $250/month for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses and 5 user licenses
- Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, AXP, the API and SSO
- There's a 7-day free trial.
8. LLMrefs: best flat-price multi-engine tracker
LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers Perplexity and 10 other AI engines on one $79 plan, with 500 prompts refreshed weekly, which suits small teams that want Perplexity next to every other engine on a budget. We haven't run LLMrefs ourselves, so this section is based on its pricing page and docs.
The plan is simple. $79 a month buys 500 prompts, every engine at no extra fee, unlimited team members and projects, and citation tracking that shows which sources shape the answers.
The trade-off is freshness. Reports refresh weekly, so a Perplexity answer that changes midweek won't show until the next run. The site also labels the $79 price as limited time.
Key features
- Every engine on one plan, including Perplexity, ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek.
- Citation tracking for the sources behind each answer.
- Monthly prompt volume estimates for your topics.
- Geo-targeting in 50+ countries and 20+ languages.
- CSV export and API access, plus a crawlability checker and Reddit threads finder.
Where it falls short
- Weekly refresh only.
- No content writing, outreach or fixes.
- The $79 price is marked limited time.
User reviews
We couldn't find user reviews of LLMrefs to link to. Its Product Hunt page only has a review from the founder, and we found none on G2 or Trustpilot.
Pricing
- All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts on every engine, refreshed weekly
- Unlimited seats and projects, and a 7-day free trial.
9. Rankscale: best for flexible cadence
Rankscale is a credit-based AI rank tracker that lets you set how often each Perplexity prompt runs, from hourly to monthly, from $17 a month billed yearly, though its Perplexity interface monitoring has been paused since October 12, 2026. It suits hands-on SEOs who want control over cadence and can work with Perplexity's API models for now.
We used the 7-day Pro trial. Credits are the whole model. A run on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or AI Mode through the interface costs 0.25 credits, so Pro's 1,200 credits cover up to 4,800 answers a month, and we checked our money prompts daily and the long tail weekly. The interface felt busy at first, but you get real control over what runs and when.
On October 12, 2026, Rankscale's changelog said its Perplexity GUI scrapes were hitting login walls, so monitoring was paused while it works on a fix. Your prompts and settings are kept.
You can still track Perplexity's Sonar models through the API, at 1 credit a run. API answers can differ from what people see in the Perplexity app, so check the changelog before you pick Rankscale for Perplexity.
Key features
- Cadence per prompt, from hourly to monthly.
- 20+ engines, through the interface or the API, with credits shared across them.
- Citations analysis, including the sources behind sentiment statements.
- Query fan-out insights on every plan.
- REST API and MCP from Pro+.
Where it falls short
- Perplexity interface monitoring is paused, so Perplexity runs through the API for now.
- Credits take time to learn.
- No content writing or outreach.
User reviews
“We wanted a tool we could use regularly to check how we were doing in AI answers, and Rankscale fit smoothly into our setup.” (Source)
“It only analyzes the prompts we've set up ourselves, which you need to keep in mind for your own analysis.” (Source)
Pricing
- Essentials: $17/month, billed yearly only, for 120 credits
- Pro: $99/month for 1,200 credits, with a 7-day free trial
- Pro+: $229/month for 3,000 credits, with the REST API and MCP
- Growth: $385/month for 5,500 credits and white-label options
- Yearly billing saves 15%.
10. Profound: best for enterprise
Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform that tracks Perplexity only on custom Enterprise contracts, with up to 9 answer engines and AI Marketer agents, which suits large brands that want Perplexity data and agents under one contract.
We tested it on the 7-day trial. Profound picked 50 prompts for our industry, we couldn't edit them, and only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews ran. Perplexity wasn't part of the trial, so we couldn't judge its Perplexity data first-hand.
On Enterprise, Perplexity sits next to ChatGPT, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa, with citations and Prompt Volumes estimates.
Since September 2026 there's no self-serve plan for brands, so you buy through sales. Agencies still have a self-serve Agency Growth plan.
Key features
- Up to 9 answer engines on Enterprise, Perplexity included.
- Answer Engine Insights. Mentions, position, sentiment and citations per engine.
- Prompt Volumes. Estimates of how often topics are asked.
- AI Marketer agents, priced in credits.
Where it falls short
- Perplexity isn't in the free trial.
- Brands can only buy Enterprise.
- The API, exports and SSO are Enterprise only.
User reviews
We've quoted most of Profound's reviews in earlier comparisons, so we kept this to two.
“It shows which competitors appear, which prompts drive the results and which sources get cited.” (Source)
“We've built similar workflows in-house, so the pricing feels a bit high.” (Source)
Pricing
- Trial: free for 7 days, with 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews
- Enterprise: custom, with up to 9 answer engines and AI Marketer credits
- Agency Growth: self-serve for agencies, with 400 agent credits a month per client workspace
How we picked
Every tool here tracks Perplexity in some form. We checked each vendor's pricing page and docs in November 2026 and compared them on:
- Which plan includes Perplexity, and whether it's included or a paid extra.
- Prompts on that plan, since 15 prompts and 500 prompts answer different questions.
- How often Perplexity re-runs, from daily to weekly.
- Whether it records Perplexity's cited sources, because citations are the only way into Perplexity's answers.
- How answers are collected. The real Perplexity interface shows what people see, and API answers can differ.
- What it does with the data, from reports to agents that do the work.
Which one should you choose?
- You want Perplexity tracking plus agents that do the work on their own: Orchly.
- You want clean source data and unlimited seats, and don't mind paying extra for Perplexity: Peec AI.
