10 Best Rankscale Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Rankscale is one of the cheapest ways to get detailed AI visibility data, with 21 engines and models, a schedule you set per search term and credits that roll over, from $17 a month billed yearly. The level of detail takes time to learn, client reporting is still mostly manual, and it shows you what's wrong without doing the fixes.

These 10 Rankscale alternatives give you clearer reporting, simpler pricing or agents that do the work. Prices checked in November 2026.

Editor's note

How we tested these Rankscale alternatives

We started from our own Rankscale trial, then signed up for Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Promptmonitor, Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, Scrunch, SE Visible and Profound. Each got the same set of buyer prompts, and we compared:

  • Which engines you get, and how much control you have over what runs and when
  • How quickly you can turn the data into a report someone else can read
  • Whether the tool helps you act on what it finds, and the real monthly cost

AthenaHQ needed a sales call, so for it and for LLMrefs we went by pricing pages, docs, demo videos and what brands we work with told us. Review quotes are condensed from G2, OMR Reviews and Trustpilot and link to the original.

Orchly is our product. We judged it on the same points and say where it falls short. Prices and features checked in November 2026.

1. Orchly: best agentic Rankscale alternative to show up in more AI answers

Orchly AI visibility overview showing AI Visibility Score, Share of Voice, sentiment, average position and a competitor leaderboard
Orchly's AI visibility overview

Orchly is an agentic AI search optimization platform. It tracks your brand across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other AI engines, and its agents run on their own, on a schedule, across the whole loop.

They analyze your AI visibility, your competitors and your Search Console and GA4 data. They find the pages to write or refresh and do it in your brand voice, keep Brand Brain up to date, find the sites and Reddit threads worth reaching, run the outreach, and audit your site for technical SEO and AI search issues. You decide whether each agent runs on its own or waits for your approval.

Rankscale gives you very detailed data plus Scout recommendations. Orchly's agents run the work end to end.

Analysis, not just numbers

  • Clear headline metrics. AI Visibility Score, Share of Voice, sentiment and average position, with a competitor leaderboard by engine and topic.
  • Prompts by brand and intent. Branded vs non-branded, and commercial, informational or transactional.

Reports you can share

  • Live links and PDF decks. Build reports that combine AI visibility, organic search and rankings, and share them as a live link or PDF. Agencies get white-label branding on Pro.
  • Search Console and GA4. Organic clicks, conversions and revenue from Google Search Console and GA4, with Page 360 for every URL.

Fixing what the data shows

  • Content, Activation and Site Health agents. Articles and refreshes published to your CMS, outreach to cited sources, and technical fixes, directly or after your approval.

Where Orchly falls short

  • Fewer engines and less control over cadence. Rankscale covers 21 engines and models and lets you set hourly to monthly checks per search term. Orchly runs daily on 3 included engines, with more as add-ons, and also tracks Meta AI and DeepSeek.
  • Higher entry price. Rankscale starts at $17 a month billed yearly, and Pro is $99. Orchly starts at $49.

Pricing: Essential $49/month (25 prompts daily). Pro $125/month (100 prompts, 5 users, white-label reports). 7-day free trial.

2. Peec AI: best for clean dashboards

Peec AI dashboard

Peec AI is an AI search analytics platform for marketing teams, and it's the alternative we'd suggest to Rankscale users who mostly want dashboards other people can read.

We signed up and ran it on the same prompts we track in Rankscale. Setup took a few minutes: add the brand, accept most of the suggested prompts, and visibility, position and sentiment against competitors come in per engine.

Coming from Rankscale, it felt calmer. There's less to filter, and sources are already split into owned, editorial, reference and UGC, so we spent less time working out what a chart meant.

You give up flexibility for that. Every self-serve plan tracks any 3 engines you choose, prompts run daily, and you can't set a different schedule or engine mix per prompt the way Rankscale lets you.

Key features

  • Model choice. Pick 3 of ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Naver AI, and add more, Perplexity included, for an extra fee.
  • Source analytics. Every cited domain and URL, labelled as competitor, editorial, reference or UGC.
  • Actions. A ranked list of pages to fix, threads to join and content gaps to close, added in February 2026.
  • Brand Perception. Attribute scoring and objections, plus GA4 AI referrals, added in September 2026.
  • AI Shopping. Product-level visibility from a Shopify or CSV feed.
  • MCP and Looker Studio. An MCP server, plus a Looker Studio connector from Advanced.

Where it falls short

  • 3 engines per self-serve plan, and Claude, Grok and DeepSeek cost extra.
  • No per-prompt schedule, so you can't run some prompts hourly and others monthly.
  • Actions tell you what to do, but the writing and outreach are still yours.

User reviews

“A simple, easy interface that still covers a very complete set of features.” (Source)

“The dashboard is easy to read and the suggested prompts at signup were spot on. It's hard to tie the actions we take to changes in our AI results, though.” (Source)

“We're happy with it, but I do wish it cost less.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Starter: €85/month for 50 prompts and 3 engines
  • Pro: €205/month for 150 prompts and 2 projects
  • Advanced: €425/month for 350 prompts, 5 projects and Looker Studio
  • Unlimited users on every plan. Enterprise adds all models, API access and SSO.

3. Otterly.AI: best budget alternative with reports

Otterly.AI dashboard

Otterly.AI is an AI search monitoring tool for small teams and agencies, and it's the closest thing to Rankscale on price, with prompt-based plans instead of credits.

We've paid for Otterly ourselves. We added our brand, it built a competitor list and suggested prompts, and the first report was ready in about 15 minutes.

The reporting is the reason a Rankscale user would look at it. Brand Reports and the Looker Studio connector got us to something we could send a client much faster than building views by hand in Rankscale.

What we missed was control. Every prompt runs daily on the same engines, and Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons, so the bill grows with every engine you switch on.

Key features

  • Four engines included. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan.
  • Brand Visibility Index. Every brand sorted into Leaders, Niche or Low Performance.
  • Brand Reports and Looker Studio. Shareable reports and a Looker Studio connector for client dashboards.
  • GEO audit and recommendations. Page checks plus suggested fixes, capped at 3 a week on Lite.
  • Agent Analytics. AI crawler visits from your server logs or Cloudflare, added in August 2026.

Where it falls short

  • 15 prompts on the $29 Lite plan.
  • AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are add-ons, so all 7 engines on Standard come to about $416 a month.
  • No per-prompt schedule, and unused prompts don't roll over the way Rankscale credits do.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“The content checker shows how to improve pages for AI visibility, and support is top-notch.” (Source)

“Data updates sometimes take longer than I expect when I track several domains. I wish there were more ways to customize reports and alerts.” (Source)

“Deeper customization feels limited for detailed enterprise monitoring.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Lite: $29/month for 15 prompts
  • Standard: $189/month for 100 prompts
  • Premium: $489/month for 400 prompts
  • Engine add-ons cost extra. Yearly billing saves 15%, and the free trial needs no card.

4. LLMrefs: best flat-price multi-engine tracker

LLMrefs AI citation tracking dashboard

LLMrefs is a keyword-based AI rank tracker that covers every major engine on one $79 plan, for Rankscale users who are tired of doing credit math. We know it from its pricing page, docs and brands we work with, not from our own trial.

The setup works differently from Rankscale's. You add the keywords you already track for SEO, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind each one and rolls the results up per keyword.

That's quick if your team thinks in keywords. The trade-off is less control over the exact questions, and every keyword updates at least once a week, where Rankscale can check a prompt every hour if you pay for it.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Copilot, Meta AI and DeepSeek, with no add-on fees.
  • Keyword tracking. 500 prompts generated from your keywords, with search volume per keyword.
  • Share of voice. Brands ranked by share of voice and position for each keyword.
  • Geo-targeting. 50+ countries and 20+ languages.
  • Agency setup. Unlimited projects and team members, CSV export and an API.

Where it falls short

  • Weekly data, with no option for daily or hourly checks.
  • Prompts come from keywords, so you can't fully control them.
  • No content, outreach or fix layer, and the $79 price is labelled limited-time.

User reviews

LLMrefs has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet, and its single Product Hunt rating has no written review, so we have no user quotes to share.

Pricing

  • All in One: $79/month for 500 prompts and all engines
  • 7-day free trial, with unlimited team members and projects.

5. Promptmonitor: best cheap tracker with source contacts

Promptmonitor dashboard

Promptmonitor is a low-cost AI visibility tracker that shows the contact details of the publishers AI cites, which gives Rankscale users a path from citation data to outreach.

Setup took us about a minute. You enter a domain and the dashboard is there, starting at 0% because there's no history yet.

The Sources report is the part we'd pay for. Rankscale tells you which domains and URLs get cited, and Promptmonitor adds who to email at each one, along with an opportunity score.

The rest felt less finished than Rankscale. Some suggestions in the Actions tab still talked about 2024 and SGE, and similar prompts got almost the same advice.

Key features

  • Daily tracking and unlimited seats. From Growth. Starter checks prompts twice a week with 1 seat.
  • Up to 8 models. Starter covers ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, Growth adds Claude and DeepSeek, and Pro adds Grok, AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • Sources report. Every cited URL with model, counts, first and last seen, and an opportunity score.
  • Publisher contacts. Author and site contacts for outreach, on every plan.
  • City-level tracking. 200+ locations.

Where it falls short

  • The $39 Starter plan has 3 engines, twice-weekly checks and 1 seat.
  • Content suggestions can be out of date.
  • Bot analytics needs middleware on your server, and the API is Enterprise only.
  • AI Overviews, AI Mode and Grok need the $149 Pro plan.

User reviews

Promptmonitor has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet. The only public review we found is a 1-star Trustpilot post, with no reply from the company:

“My project stayed stuck on loading, and I was charged after cancelling.” (Source)

One review isn't a pattern, but keep an eye on billing during the trial.

Pricing

  • Starter: $39/month for 25 prompts on 3 engines, checked twice a week, 1 seat
  • Growth: $79/month for 50 prompts checked daily on 5 models, unlimited seats
  • Pro: $149/month for 150 prompts checked daily on all 8 models and 5 websites
  • Yearly billing saves 15% ($33/$67/$83 a month), and there's a 7-day trial.

6. AthenaHQ: best for guided recommendations

AthenaHQ AI search visibility dashboard

AthenaHQ is a Y Combinator-backed AI search platform that tracks 11 engines on its self-serve Starter plan and uses credits, much like Rankscale. AthenaHQ only gave us access after a sales call, so this section is based on its documentation, demo videos and G2 reviews.

According to the docs, you only need a domain to start. AthenaHQ writes a brand profile, suggests about 10 competitors and drafts 10 prompts, and the first answers arrive within minutes.

The credits work very differently from Rankscale's, though. On AthenaHQ one credit is one AI response, while on Rankscale a ChatGPT run costs a quarter of a credit. So 3,600 Starter credits go a lot less far than they sound, and self-serve plans cover a single country.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral on Starter.
  • Free plan. Essentials gives 300 credits on 5 engines.
  • Clickable metrics. Share of voice, mention rate and citation rate by model, each linked to the stored answers.
  • Brand Traits. The positive and negative words AI uses to describe you.
  • Unlimited seats. On every plan, including the free one.

Where it falls short

  • There's no plan between free and $295 a month.
  • The recommendation engine, personas and BI exports are Enterprise only.
  • Self-serve plans cover one country.

User reviews

“AI answers differ by region, and most tools we looked at treated the US as one market. Local map pack visibility isn't covered, though, so we still need separate local SEO tools.” (Source)

“Our technical buyers ask Claude and ChatGPT before they visit our site, and now we can finally see it.” (Source)

“Managing several brands means switching between workspaces, which gets tedious.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Essentials: free, with 300 credits on 5 engines
  • Starter: $295/month, about $245 billed yearly, for 3,600 credits on 11 engines
  • Enterprise: custom pricing

7. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best inside an SEO suite

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit report

The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit is Semrush's add-on for tracking brands in AI search, and it suits Rankscale users whose SEO already runs on Semrush and who want AI and organic data in one login.

We tried it on the 7-day trial. You click AI in the left menu, enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100, which is quicker to explain to a manager than anything in Rankscale.

Prompt Research was the report we kept going back to. It works like Keyword Magic for AI questions and shows volume estimates.

The engines confused us, because they change by report. Brand Performance covers ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Perplexity and updates weekly, while Prompt Tracking covers only ChatGPT Search, AI Mode and Gemini. After Rankscale's 21 engines, that felt narrow.

Key features

  • AI Visibility Score. One score out of 100 for your domain against up to 4 competitors.
  • Prompt Research. A prompt database with volume and intent estimates.
  • Brand Performance. Share of voice, sentiment and the sources shaping how AI describes you.
  • Prompt Tracking. Daily tracking inside Position Tracking.
  • AI site audit. Checks how ready your pages are for AI search.

Where it falls short

  • 25 prompts per domain on the base plan, and 50 more cost $60.
  • Every extra domain is another $99, and every extra user needs a license.
  • Claude, Grok and DeepSeek are on the Enterprise AIO tier only.
  • It recommends but doesn't do the work.

User reviews

“Prompt Research works like Keyword Magic for AI questions, with good volume and intent data.” (Source)

“The AI Visibility score shows how our brand appears in AI answers, and the MCP works well with Claude. The API units get used up faster than we expect, so we have to pace our queries.” (Source)

“Removing a brand from Brand Performance takes a support ticket.” (Source)

Pricing

  • AI Visibility Toolkit: $99/month per domain for 25 prompts
  • Semrush One: from $199/month with 50 prompts
  • Semrush offers a 7-day trial on its SEO and AI plans.

8. Scrunch: best for technical teams

Scrunch AI visibility dashboard

Scrunch is an AI visibility platform for mid-market and enterprise teams that care about how AI crawlers read their site as much as what the answers say. Sitecore bought it in June 2026.

We used it on the 7-day trial. Onboarding is guided: Scrunch drafts a brand description from your site, you confirm it, add competitors, a persona and your topics, and start from five suggested prompts.

It's a lot more structured than Rankscale, and a lot narrower on engines. The $250 Core plan covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, and Claude, Gemini, AI Mode, Meta AI and Grok are Enterprise only. New prompts run daily for 14 days and then every 72 hours, which felt slow after Rankscale's hourly option.

The part Rankscale doesn't have is AXP, which sits on your CDN and serves AI agents a simpler version of each page. It's part of Enterprise and needs someone with CDN access.

Key features

  • Core engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, with 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month.
  • Enterprise engines. Adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok, for 9 in total.
  • Site audits. 5 a month on Core, checking how AI crawlers read your pages.
  • Agent Traffic. AI crawler visits by page, once you connect your CDN or host.
  • AXP. Serves AI agents a machine-readable version of your pages, on Enterprise.
  • GA4 and MCP. AI referral traffic from GA4, plus an MCP server.

Where it falls short

  • $250 a month for 4 engines, against Rankscale's $17 entry plan with 21.
  • Claude, Gemini and AI Mode need an Enterprise contract.
  • Core covers 1 persona, 1 country and 1 language.
  • Prompts refresh every 72 hours after the first two weeks, and there's no content creation or outreach.

User reviews

“Curating our own prompts from search demand data gives us the closest-to-truth picture of our clients' AI visibility.” (Source)

“New features often land in the API before the dashboard.” (Source)

“I can't easily switch between our two GA4 properties, and the Site Maps section keeps disconnecting GA4, so I have to re-enable it often.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Core: $250/month for 125 prompts on 4 engines, 5 seats and 5 site audits
  • Enterprise: custom, with 9 engines, custom prompts, AXP, API and SSO
  • 7-day free trial on Core.

9. SE Visible: best for agency reporting

SE Ranking AI search visibility report

SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker, priced by project with a shared prompt pool, which suits agencies that want client reports without building them in Rankscale. Its site is visible.seranking.com.

We used the 10-day trial. Setup asks for a brand name, up to five topics, and a country and language, then SE Visible finds prompts and tags them by intent and funnel stage. After the first scan it suggests competitors and other names for your brand.

The dashboard opens on visibility, share of voice, average position and net sentiment, and that was enough for a client call without any extra work. We also liked reading each answer exactly as the engine gave it.

Each prompt counts once however many engines it runs on, and the allowance is shared across projects. The engine list is the weak part, at four engines and no Claude yet, against Rankscale's 21.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews on current plans.
  • Pooled prompts. 200 prompts across 3 projects on Basic, 450 across 5 on Core.
  • Daily refresh. Answers collected through real browser sessions.
  • Answer view. Full answers, cited sources by domain or URL, and AI Overview overlap with the organic top 20.
  • API. On every plan, with CSV and XLSX exports.

Where it falls short

  • Claude is still marked coming soon, and Copilot is only on the roadmap.
  • No PDF export or white-label reports yet.
  • No content creation or outreach.

User reviews

SE Visible has no reviews on G2 or Capterra yet.

Pricing

  • Basic: $99/month for 200 prompts and 3 projects
  • Core: $189/month for 450 prompts and 5 projects
  • Plus: $355/month for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, by demo
  • Yearly billing saves 20%, and there's a 10-day free trial.

10. Profound: best for enterprise

Profound answer engine insights dashboard

Profound is the enterprise AI visibility platform used by more than 1,000 brands, including a third of the Fortune 100, and it sits at the opposite end of the market from Rankscale. In September 2026, right after its $180M Series D, it dropped the $99 and $399 self-serve plans for brands.

We tested it on the 7-day trial, which is fairly locked down. Profound picks 50 prompts for your industry, only ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews run, and there's no history, export or API.

Prompt Volumes is the feature Rankscale users will notice. It estimates how often people really ask a question, from a panel of more than 1.5 billion prompts in 35 countries, which is useful for deciding which prompts deserve your credits at all.

The rest is a lot of product, and it ships weekly. In October it added agents you set up from a plain-language request, AI Marketer inside Microsoft Teams, and credit wallets for agent work.

Key features

  • Engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, AI Overviews and Exa on Enterprise.
  • Prompt Volumes. Demand estimates from 1.5 billion+ prompts in 35 countries.
  • AI Marketer. Agents that draft and publish content, with a Context Manager that learns your brand.
  • Agent Analytics. AI crawler activity on your site.
  • Enterprise controls. SSO, API, exports, MCP and a Claude connector.

Where it falls short

  • Brands can only buy custom Enterprise contracts now.
  • Agent work runs on credits, on top of the contract.
  • There's a lot on the dashboard to learn.

User reviews

“We can see our visibility and citations across AI platforms, plus the sentiment around us.” (Source)

“It's rather expensive next to the other tools we vetted.” (Source)

Pricing

  • Brands: custom Enterprise pricing through sales
  • Agencies: a self-serve Agency Growth plan
  • Trial: 7 days, with 50 preset prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews

What changed with Rankscale in 2026

Many Rankscale alternatives articles still quote a $20 entry plan and 17 engines. Rankscale has changed a fair bit since, and these are the details that matter as of November 2026.

  • Essentials is yearly only. It costs $17/month billed yearly, for 120 credits and 2 brand dashboards. The pricing page shows $20 next to it, which is the price before the 15% yearly discount, and Essentials isn't sold monthly.
  • Pro+ is new. Added on September 29, 2026, between Pro and Growth: $229/month for 3,000 credits, 25 brand dashboards, REST API access and 5 prompt researches a month.
  • Credit costs depend on the engine. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Mode cost 0.25 credits per run, DeepSeek 1 and Claude 2. Newer models cost more: GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol 1 credit (3 with web search), Gemini 3.8 Flash 2 (4), Claude Sonnet 5.5 3 (4) and Meta Muse Spark 4.
  • 21 engines and models. Interface captures such as ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Copilot, plus API models from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, Meta and Mistral. Perplexity interface monitoring has been paused since October 12, 2026, while Rankscale works around login walls.
  • New reports. Query Fanout insights (September), Local Results for AI map listings (October 1), and ChatGPT follow-up forms and AI visits from Cloudflare (October 16).
  • Rollover. Unused credits roll over up to 2x your monthly allowance on Pro and Pro+, and 3x on Growth and Enterprise. Essentials has no rollover.

When to stay with Rankscale

We used Rankscale on the 7-day Pro trial, and for some teams it's still the right tool. The dashboards took us a while, because there's a lot of detail per search term and a lot of filtering, but nothing else here gives you this much control for the money.

Stay with Rankscale if:

  • You want the most engines for the least money and are fine building your own reports.
  • You need hourly checks on a few money prompts and monthly checks on the long tail.
  • You track sponsored ads, shopping cards or local map results in AI answers.
  • You want to see the follow-up questions ChatGPT asks before it recommends a brand.

User reviews

“The MCP works really well, and we use Rankscale with Claude.” (Source)

“KPI-level reporting is solid, but clients want to know which queries mention them, and I found no way to export that as a clean list.” (Source)

“Credits run out fast on the smallest plan, but upgrading is worth it.” (Source)
